Question about winning the game

I have almost won the game. Every faction is destroyed. The Heretics, the Snake Cult and the Jatus are destroyed. Oly the mysts are still fading (and my relations with the Noldor are supportive). My question is, to destroy the mysts do i have to hunt small groups of them or only a big army will do?

If a big army is around, go for it. It´s more benefical to take out an army than a gazillion of small parties with the way the regression meter works.

Thank yuo. Then I will have to go all over the taverns asking for rumours, so that a myst army spwans as soon as possible. AARgh¡ I am so near the end that is driving me crazy¡.
 
IF a big army is around. IF it isn´t, go hunt the smallies. With as little troops as possible to cream off the reknown and precious loot.

Which can be amazing off those small bands, if you play it right.
 
This exact situation has happended to me twice. By that time I just didnt have the strength to chase rumours or kill small mystmnt bands so I just quit.
 
It feels very anticlimatic (and annoying) having to hunt a lot of small pesky mysts bands to win the game. As soon as I have donde it, I will make a thread giving my opinion about the mod. So far, this is the only annoying issue I have found (other annoying issues are native, not POP). 
 
^^^ Agreed. Once I take 1/2 to 3/4 of the map or whatever it becomes so easy I just quit for a while. I wish there was a dramatic ending but that's the downside of open/sandbox games.
 
And the nice thing about sandbox games is, if you get bored with your current game, you simply start a new one.

Who gives a damn if you win or end a game? Most people playing this game haven´t, me included.
Just start from scratch and engage a new challenge.
 
I have one high difficulty main campaign I want to eventually "win" but it's always nice to have a side campaign or two to take less seriously and muck about in. And there's always multiplayer too.

Yes, i rarely finish my games, buti like to do it at least once
 
This is driving me nuts! After two hours of real time (around 4weeks of game time) of asking about rumours (with a lot of them about mysts) all i have gotten is one heretic army. Any way of accelerating the process without having to meddle with the ocult?
 
Couldn't you order all your lords to partol around castle/villages/towns close to Myst spawns to they help chasing the small parties?

Yes, I already thought about it, but I guess it won´t make much good. Most bands are 15-20 guys, while my lords usually have around 150-200 troops (or even far more) each. They won´t be able to catch them. I can do it (and in fact, I have destroyed around 25 little bands of mysts and 2 hideouts) but to no avail (yet)
 
Send out the Sheriff! And hunt them down perrsonally with a small compansy bodyguard company only.
 
For me it took 300 game days to knock over the mysters. Just fight tournaments, and run the old Ravenstern cities for rumours once a week. I think turning the campain difficulty up  might help armies spawn too.

Can anybody confirm if campaing difficuty affects army spawn? (currently playing on average), because I am near the point of giving up. Now the mysts are "crushed" (when I conquered Pendor they were "Fading"). Bu tWolfsbode the Slayer spawned while being Crushed and, after defeating him, it still is at "Crushed". I asks weekly for rumours in all the North cities (I have checked that there are more chances of getting mysts rumours in the North, just as there are more chances of getting snake cult rumours in the South East), and I have been “waiting” in a city for months, praying for a myst army to spawn (because I am fed up with hunting little mysts bands).

By the way, you say you found the same problem with the mysts? Perhaps it is because not many lords patrol the mysts mountains areas, so their bands are hunted far less often than those of, for example, heretics or cultists.

Difficulty doesn't affect spawns, but it determines the number/quality of troops in the armies I believe.

Anybody? I really wanted to finish the game and see what happened, but it´s been too much for me. Could you please tell me which is the end?
