Question about Troop Stats

I noticed that many in game troops have different stats than I see from the troop editor. Sometimes it's quite significant. Can anyone help me understand why?

IE:
Skilled Warrior in game: 19 STR, 10 AGI, 5 INT, 10 CHA
Skilled Warrior in troops.txt/troop editor : 7 STR, 5 AGI, 4 INT, 4 CHA

is it because it doesnt include there base stats? (wild guess)

I think they get higher status basing on your level, anyone correct me if i am wrong.

I don't  think it has to do with their base stats, or my current level as the difference is varried by troop. I see some troops whose in game stats match what is in troops.txt, others who are off, but only by a couple of points, and then others who are off significantly.

Perhaps this isn't something specific to this mod, but mods in general. Maybe it would be better addressed in the general mod  board. I haven't tried any other mods, so maybe the problem is beign seen elsewhere.
