Question about the imodbits (item modifiers)

Hi all,

I would like to know (for translation purposes) where in the Module System are the imodbits defined. My idea is to create a second set of modifiers identical to the first one so that I can later define which items go with which set of modifiers, making it two separate registers for languages that, unlike English, have two or more genders.

I don't know if I explain myself clearly enough.

Rusty is always Rusty in English.

In a lot of latin languages, the adjective depends on the gender of the word.

Can you guys, please-please, help me? I can't find where the imodbits are defined, and I have only this weekend to either implement this or to leave it go!

I had the same problem while making polish translation. Never found a way to add imodbits or to modify them, so I had to think out a workaround - used different words (not even adjetives) that would fit all type of items.

Bogus!

Well, thanks a lot for your answers, guys, it put an end to my brain squeezing.

This is probably one of the biggest pain in the ass about translating M&B to most languages (for as far as I know, most languages have genders). I think this part of the code should be changed in future versions... cannot be that hard to put 4 registers per imodbit (one per gender, plus one extra for languages with neutrum gender, and another one for plurals), even if the English version would still use only one of them.

Anyway, I guess I will follow your walkaround Slawomir.

Sorry for offtop. How i can change cost-modifiers items or horses in module text files?
If it's being disscussed give me please a link
