Question about skills

Hi All,

I'm fairly new to Mount and Blade, I was wondering if anyone knows the answers to a couple of questions that have been bothering me:

1: Does the "Shoot while mounted" skill apply to bows as well as guns and grenades? My mounted archer accuracy is terrible - the Ai don't seem to have any problems hitting me!

2: I understand that skills are divided into "party" and personal, my question is, are the party stats cumulative across all party members or does it use the highest individual skill? The party screen seems to suggest the latter...

2. Nope, though you get a bonus to the skill level based on your character's skill.

So for question 2, the highest individual score is what's used? So specialising heroes is the best plan (rather than training 1 point into a skill on every hero).

Yes, highest individual skill is used (unless companion is injured).  You can augment this (even if you are highest)

Your skill
1 = 0
2-4 = +1
5-7 = +2
8-9 = +3
10 = +4

but total score not above 10.  At least that was Pre-Warband I think they kept it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the trainer skill was the exception to that rule. Every hero with trainer skill adds experience to troops of lower level than him.

Trainer is a personal skill rather than a party one, so it kicks in for each individual in the party who has it (assuming they're able to use it).
