I just had a playthrough where, I was the highest rank in Count Gharmall of the rhodoks' army. While in his service, we wiped out the entire faction of swadia, and after that, I decided to retire and work to become a Rhodok vassal. When I told the count that I wanted to retire, he thanked me for his service and everything, and my relations increased from 14 to 33 points. I've since tried to do this same thing with the king of the faction, ranking up in his army and being a very prominent force in battles, but when I click retire, nothing else happens, no relation increase, How would I be able to replicate what happened with Count Gharmall?
