Recruit
ok so you know how
the more posts you make the higher your ranking is?

ex recruit
seargent
knight at arms ect ect

how many posts does it take to get to the next one?

There is a thread called "Forum ranks and images" look around, the answers are there.

nope that wasnt me I dont believe.
maybe I did and Im just starting to get lose my mind in my old age.

In this same board:
http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,10773.msg178742.html#msg178742

I suppose I should make or add to a locked sticky with that list, was planning to do that. Would go perfectly on this board.

Rather than start a new thread, I just (re)noticed the warning against necroing. I'm not sure it's phrased in the best way to encourage people not to start new posts. A warning makes some sense, but it should come with a disclaimer against starting a new thread instead.

why are you so interested in forum ranking?

I wanted to ask that exact same question... Its there to show roughly how long you have been here - not really a "rank" that is worth fighting a spam war over ::razz: (not saying that you do btw ::grin: )

Pointless worrying about your rank to be honest. We can always knock you back down to recruit if you piss us off

The top forum posters are mostly spammers, who due to not having their posts from offtopic count, from having their postcounts dropped down from spamming and from having their spam threads deleted, nobody knows their real postcount anyway.

Well, you can just check the profile and see last posts, and check the first post... This reminds me, wouldn't it make more sense that the post on the last page would be #1, and the number of the post on the first page would be #<Insert your posts>, since the post on the last page of last posts is your first post?

Hugglez!

Having the spam threads deleted does not drop our counted PC, as it never added to that in the first place.

He never said it did, he said because of that they can't know the real post count

Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 182 days.
Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic.

So I am raising this idea from the dead.

Looks like this issue is still not resolved. I think that the necroing warning ought to be reworded.

What issue? While posting to old topics is encouraged, once a topic gets old enough it is usually better to start a new one.

The current limit is 182 days (odd that you got it just at the limit), which is 6 1/2 months. If a topic hasn't been posted to in that long, you're probably better leaving the dead topic alone.

Thanks for clarifying. I had thought that necroing was always to be prefered, since the arguments might still apply. Of course, I assume that one can use judgement on these calls.
