What benefit do you get from it?
The one thing I can think of is that if a faction has a high disposition toward you, new lords that you meet will like you a little more (2 or 3 points). I'm not sure about that but it seemed that way to me in my last game.
But if you already know all the lords and your relationship with them is already set, faction relationship doesn't seem to matter.
Is there a universal price discount in all towns and villages or something? Or is it a meaningless number? (meaningless, that is, if they really like you, but not so meaningless if they dislike you, as that obviously means they'll attack).
