Question about one/two hand weapon

I am wondering some weapon can be used one handed or two handed
And those weapon usually have more higher power on attack
I believe that those attack power is smaller when used one handed compare to use by two handed
Is that true??

Yes. They're slower and do less damage (I think it's 30%) when used with a shield.
