I was downloading something and while I was waiting I opened my task manager and went to the network part.
I'm using wireless internet and when I opened the task manager I was in my bedroom wich is far from my router. Then I went to the room where the router is with my pc and noticed something odd in the task manager.

First, when I was on my bedroom, the values were +/- above 50% and unstable but when I got close to the router it stabilized and values went lower, unlike my internet speed wich got faster. After a bit of time, I returned to my bedroom and internet got slower but the values reached 100%.
Below it says "network utilization" and at the moment I took the screen I was in my bedroom and it was at 95%. So does it mean that when I'm with less internet power, the computer will try to use all the resources it can get to something? And when the internet is fast it won't use them all?

Look at the bottom where it says the network speed (14mbps). Does that change as you move? The % utilization is a measure of how much of the total theoretical available speed, rather than the actual available speed.

Yes, when I'm close to the router it increases up to 72mbps. And thanks for the explanation of the % utilization.

Because what you're downloading isn't probably given to you at those speeds.

For example, I can download World of Tanks from the launcher which has horrible speeds or use a torrent (they let you do it from a setting somewhere afaik) which is a lot faster due to seeders.
