question about grey archers

i am trying to build up some pendor grey archers but i cant seem to get htem, i have pendor armored bowman and they wont upgrade anymore, it doesnt even show grey archers as an upgrade, am i doing something wrong?

Their nobles can become grey archers and knights.
I was wondering the same thing at the start.

so the unit tree thing im looking at is wrong? they arent upgraded from armored bowman? thats terrible cuz i have like 70 armored bowman

Armored bowmen are still great value for their cost. I think making grey archers as noble troops is a good decision as grey archers were a bit too easy to get/train in previous versions considering how good they are.

im trying to create the knighthood order and the one i want requires pendor grey archers, thats why im trying to find out what units i need to be able to make those

as the others said, you need to start with pendor nobles, not pendor peasants.  therefore you need a kingdom with pendor culture, and a town or castle with a training yard.

If you're in a faction with Pendor culture, after every expense report thing it should say x noble recruits have joined your cause for y reasons. Then you can get them by talking to the guy in the castle/town if you have a training ground there.

Hey Everyone,

First, questions like this, as you've noticed, should go into the gameplay/question thread ..

Most of these questions are covered in the Warband FAQ, under the Question #3, 4, and 5 which explain the whole Noble Recruits and Knighthood Orders read it, and you'll notice that the only way you can get Pendor Grey Archers is by recruiting Nobles, and in turn leveling them up this specific side the Pendor Noble Tree:

- Pendor: Pendor Nobleman (upgrades to Pendor Squire-at-Arms -> Pendor Knight -> Pendor Grey Archer or Pendor Foot Knight

Pendor Armored Bowmen are base Pendor Troops, thus that is the highest they will ever get upgraded and naturally the only way to even get Pendor noble troops is by going the King Route and declaring Pendor as your culture, which is also covered in the WB FAQ as well
