question about courting a lady

so im trying to court Lady Elys. i dueled one guy already and won (which she actually didnt like) and read all the poems to her, but now a different Lord is betrothed to her and i dont have an option to duel him. id just go court someone else, but now every time i talk to the lord whos courting her our relation drops by 20 and he tells me to stay away from her.

the thing is, im not talking to her, and i agreed that we couldnt see each other anymore before the first time our relationship dropped. what can i do to make our relationship stop dropping?

Don't talk to him. In my experience relations should drop only once. You may have a bug where it stuck.

This happened to me when i tried to court Emir Lakhem's sister. She married someone else but Emir Lakhem still got angry. However, after I avoided him for about a year (Game time) its stopped. That is a long time, but it worked for me. So do that if nothing else works.

Meltor defected to the Vaegirs, so i settled for kidnapping him and keeping him in prison forever while continuing to nail his sister (by which i mean that i talk to her and read ****ty poetry. but i like to think that my guy is nailing her)
