The thing about your idea was that you were more or less bribing players to "roleplay", which is certainly not the spirit of the game at all. You are bold to tell me that I abuse my powers as an administrator when you dish out gold to a handful of players that would otherwise not roleplay anymore than the average player on the other server. With the Roleplayers Guild, players voluntarily apply or are invited and they become responsible for the planning of roleplay events in addition to pumping the playerbase up to participate. Virtual gold is NOT an incentive here; the love and desire to creative a story is all of the encouragement these dedicated players need to keep them going.
Paying an actor to play a role on a server is no different than offering administrative covering over someone playing a role. Either way they are getting some kind of admin support for doing what they are supposed to be doing on the server already. So you have a false sense of what i was doing that day. I did not pay them and say now behave and ill pay you. They had goals and tasks they had to achieve in order to earn their wage for acting. In fact after you came and talked to me i stopped and the player that i paid to lead a faction as i directed him did quite well and the faction was controlled and run with good rp.
Btw i did witness your evening event i was Jordan. That is were i witnessed an admin get angry about our creative addition to the scene. Oh and its funny cause you teleported to the boat while we were on our way to IC find you. So id say there was some admin abuse in the whole rp. If you would of let us come and find you, there would not of been that whole ugly scene on the boat. I was in the middle of telling your redguard friend that once we landed he would have to stay and we would personally return the lady to his master. Then we were going to meet with you, get paid and kill you. I took the idea from playing skyrm just like you guys.
ANyways i already stated my concerns if i have more i will pm you.
After the battle ontop of Mount Hellstone, I considered the event to pretty much be concluded. I had accidentally killed the target character, thus I had failed my mission. The amount of complaints being submitted was over the top, and I had begun to resume taking complaints which of course involves teleporting to the player in question. Once the complaints begun to subside, I wanted to see what Cyrus was up to and that is what brought me to the ship in the first place. Turns out that he was still playing, and somebody else made a new character for the target, even though I had already killed her. The prime objective of the event was for my group to capture the woman and sail her to a corner of the map. Seeing as how she was killed in battle on the mountain, the event was technically over.
To add, your "creative addition" to the scene involved shooting me in the face while trying to get Cyrus to face me in a final dramatic standoff.

Brief example of your roleplay (Screenshots, threads, etc.):
-
In the latest event involving the Silvermoons’ I played Wilhelm, he was once a knight to a Lord Greymane (who tragically was killed). After the Kingdom disbanded Wilhelm (was at the time was serious and an ardent Knight) followed Elessel (another Greymane knight). For a while they travelled the road until desperate times forced them both to rob a wealthy knight who threatened them earlier. This opened a flood gate where over the next few years (hours) both men robbed or killed a great deal of players with the famous quote “My friend and me are poor, you look to have wealth to spare.. I suggest you give us charity… and this Charity is “Mandatory”. After a leg wound forced Wilhelm into Archery he found it second nature. (over this time, Wilhelm’s character changed into more of a scoundrel who attempted to use humor even if he had a knife to your throat. After the band of outlaws rose to a dozen, Elessel came up with the idea to capture individuals and bring them to sea and rob them.. This is how I met the Silvermoons. After we robbed them Nolbert claimed leadership of the outlaws and wanted to start up a slave labor trade of forcing serfs into the West Indies to do forced manual labor. Wilhelm left the Raiders and found the Sandraiders “Whom the Silvermoons had mentioned before” after an attempt to sell the Sandstriders the Silvermoons location for gold had failed he had left to find a new life. Where along the way he saved the life of a women pulled off her horse by the sandstriders. “he had been wounded in the process”. After his sence of justice had been reignited, Wilhelm went to serve the Silvermoons.. Over the next weeks of serving them Wilhelm had returned to the Knight who served Greymane long ago. Shot by a stray arrow, he lay helpless as the Silvermoons whom he swore to protect had died.
How did you hear about the Roleplayers Guild?
Jarl Asgrim
Why do you wish to become apart of this sub-community?
I love Roleplay (hehe)
Do you have any possible conflicts that may interfere with your activity on Persistent World and participation within the guild? You mean.. besides all this free time I have from school ending?
Do you use and frequent Teamspeak servers? (Not required, but highly recommended)
I have Teamspeak, vent (A lot)
By estimate, how active are you in Persistent World? (In-game, steam, forums, etc.) Very..
Do you have any interest in one or more voluntary positions within the guild? If yes, list in order of interest:
Any and all
What can you offer to the Role-players Guild and your fellow role-players?
I don’t need to be the man in the spotlight, while I wouldn’t necessarily “enjoy” waiting at a tavern for 4 hours with no one to talk to just so Lady Edna can rush in and ask for a bed… doesn’t mean I won’t do it. I am a good fighter, and am great at thinking on the spot.. so I can play a variety of roles. I’m also very friendly and funny..
*** By filling out this application and signing my name below, I hereby agree to conduct myself in a positive and productive manner around my fellow roleplayers as well as other members of the Persistent World community. I also understand that as a member of the Roleplayers Guild, I represent myself and my associates with my actions, and any inappropriate behavior or misconduct may lead to me being barred from the guild, and possible disciplinary action being taken against me by the administration. ***

*Example* Wilhelm
First, where is your character from? Wilhelm’s family was born in Lubeck; Lubeck is such a large city it overtook a much smaller one that was nearby (Thir). Located at sea Lubeck focuses a great deal on its Navy and has much pride and prestige with its trading prowess. It is extremely wealthy and a trade hub for a very large region. Lubeck is a Royal Republic, this means that Aristocrats control the country but being a Capitalistic plutocracy, royal titles can be bought. Wilhelm is from the Schleswig Dynasty (one that has held a royal title for 200 years (Very prestigious)) until his father Georg Fredrick was lost at sea after ruling as King (Elected King), Wilhelm’s Uncle, Erik, then took his brother’s wife claiming the Kingship (Elected Maternal-inheritance), rather than rule as regent until Wilhelm ascended to the throne, King Erik declared Wilhelm a bastard, his mother re-baptized, and Wilhelm banished. (Wilhelm was legally entitled to wage a civil war; however, his mother declared Erik’s firstborn son should be king rather than Wilhelm, who was yet to be born (yet suggested to be consummated).
Does your character have a religion or affiliation with any sort of religious organization?
Wilhelm is not for any means religious, he mostly identifies with Christianity. A logic very common to Lubecks courts is to leave religion to religious leaders and let them prey for you.
How old is your character?
When Wilhelm first fled Lubeck he was 14 (nearly 15) now, however, he is 19-20
Does your character have any family?
- Grandparents (Georg Schleswig, Kathrin Schleswig) – (Erik Schleswig, Konstanze Oldenburg)
- Parents (Georg Fredrick Schleswig, Elisabeth Ansbach)
- Siblings Arnulf (half Brother) Emma (half Sister), Elisabeth (sister)
- Relatives Christian Schleswig (adopted-uncle), Karl Oldenburg (Uncle
)
What sort of economic or social background is your character from?
Wilhelm is a landless, exiled noble from Lubeck, Being from Noble blood this allows him the right to claim titles of Nobility, however, at the moment he being stripped from royalty has none and is a commoner. His last name Schleswig has also been stripped. He still however holds a rightful claim to the throne of Lubeck as long as Erik or his son Arnulf holds the throne. Wilhelm for the most part goes from lower middle class to poverty stricken in as soon as a day. Wilhelm has turned to being an outlaw in desperate times; however, he will never target good men or those poorer than he. Wilhelm is too proud to beg but will never turn down charity. While he commits crimes he has a naturally good heart. While sometimes he may commit crimes such as murder or theft, he only does so by rationalizing (such as my king ordered his execution). His sense of justice burns bright and when he sees acts of injustice he will often get involved (even if it risks his life)
Traits:
Brave, Wilhelm goes through phases of Wroth and patience, Kind, Just, honest, gregarious, Wilhelm is very diligent and is a hard worker.
- When Wilhelm is speaking to authority figures he tries to stay reserved, however, among his common knights of commoners he speaks without his mind often offending many women and their husbands.
- Wilhelm hates men from the desert, for two reasons. One Lubeck nobles often waged wars with them and heard of great atrocities, Wilhelm also Finds the women extremely beautiful and unworthy of their males.
- What sort of goals does your character wish to accomplish?
Wilhelm seeks both riches and adventures being a young soul, he also seeks out a great deal of women; however, Wilhelm has a deep urge to reclaim his throne. Many years after he left Wilhelm wanted to avenge the injustices against him; however, after time had passed he wanted to avenge his father whom he believed Erik had a hand in. Wilhelm’s main goal in life is to find what became of his father, why he left suddenly in a ship and why he never came back to his kingdom. Wilhelm wants closure; in a more personal note Wilhelm (fatherless for years) seeks a father figure, a mentor to guide him in life. Wilhelm fears himself too young to be able to hold such a title as King, he fears the eventual fight with his uncle (whom some of his relatives in their correspondence referred to as a tyrant to the Republic). Wilhelm after seeing the struggles for the common man with his own eyes, and living in poverty knows the envy and hate of giving all your food for taxes while you starve. He fears he will turn into the object whom he and many serfs hate.. this causes Wilhelm to only serve noble men.
How does your character approach conflict?
Wilhelm will stay back unless he sees one party clearly at fault or injustice done. If Wilhelm is alone he acts very wroth, unrestrained, and charges into the battle with no fear of his own life, however, when he is with a group of people he is much more patient, for he worries of others’ lives. Wilhelm in a large group will try to be diplomatic.
Correct, and I was anticipating to lose the whole time. My skills in M&B melee combat are comparative to a four year old at best, so I was expecting to be cut down rather than shot before I had any time to begin the duel between former comrades.

yeah i think the new character lady came when one of your men asked to see her face and that is when i got involved in the story. At the time she was a different character. THen in global she asked if there was an actual character in game fitting the description. THen i saw the character lady disconnect so i assumed she would be back as a redguard style lady. I was also curious if there was in fact a real lady fitting the description or if it was a made up rp just to run around rping it. That is the only problem with short term rps is they come and go so quickly that you miss out if you are not on at the right time. If you develop a story over a week it would draw more interest and involvement form the community.

Like it says on the original posts, what occurred last night was a test event, basically we had a run-through of a concept Azrayel brought to the table. Rather than wait to test it, we decided to throw up a smaller scaled version to see how it played out. I had replied to a post that Serann had thrown up stating that larger events would be announced at least three days prior to the event itself.
To answer your question about the woman, we had assigned a player in our chat room last night to be the woman that my group was hunting.
