How long have you been roleplaying: You know me. Been there since the server's infancy
What can you offer to the Hardcore Roleplaying community: Nothing short of fun, engaging role play.
Character Bio: (This may include a story of your character or a simple short description)
Saburo Naotora Ichimonji was born into an epoch of turmoil and constant strife in the land of 'Homu'. His father, a renowned war lord called Lord Kirisu reigned over his province for a century and would eventually bequeath the title to his third and youngest son, Saburo. The two brothers, wroth by jealousy, murdered their dying father on his death bed. The young Saburo, aged fifteen, was sold as a slave to a Khergit slave merchant and spent three years traversing on a rickety caravan cart and camping alongside nomadic raiders. At eighteen he arrived in the kingdoms of Calradia, where he sells his sword to the richest kingdom, hoping one day to receive retribution against his brothers.

Sample of your roleplay: 1000 glod or die
Do you have a history of rulebreaking on the regular servers: Eh. Not really. Yes.

The thing is that most will play it like this:

"My name is *****, you killed my father, prepare to die."
*Fight, fight, fight*

Also a very true and likely outcome, but not if we can prevent it. That is why we will be finding reliable players to take on the roles of the more notable characters. Like I had stated earlier today, the invitation still stands Serann; your input and opinions will prove beneficial to the guild.

I second this, you simply -NEED- to be in this guild Catherine, after today's event, I am undoubtedly pleased with my decision to become involved in this.

[size=12pt]Knock, knock.
- Narrated by Wolfthal -
The wind was flying through the vale, making the cold powder of snow rushing at my face. I never thought a young lad such as me would find the beginning of a tale on that hill. That cold, icy hill! With each step I buried in the snow, the wind got more powerful till it begun to attack me with little snowballs. The icy wasteland that had it’s home on that hill was one of the most intimidating things I have ever seen.  No wonder that  the ‘’group’’ that had its roots there, about which I just heard that they actually existed, picked this hill as a strategic location.  I won’t give a name because I don’t want to create any buzz. Let’s just say that I was going to join a couple of lads seeking fortune – or so I thought. Anyway, I traveled through the snow and finally managed to see something in the mist. Obstructed by the cold sight, smell and even noises, if you can imagine that, there was a small house – it seemed at first – but as I walked closer, it became bigger and bigger, till I realized it was actually a small fortress.  I finally climbed the hill, and, after I pulled myself up and took a deep breath, I and looked closer at the fortress. It wasn’t so big, but from what I heard, it wasn’t the only one they had. The wooden door, made from old tree branches, was a nice thing to look at after that much climbing. I never quite liked climbing – at least not alone and in the middle of nowhere.  “How do I even tell them I am here? …Knock?”… I took my shaking hand out of the trench coat I was wearing and attempted to , of course, knock. But as I tried doing so, I heard an old man’s voice ‘’You already did tell us, friend’’.  A few archers started to rise from the walls of the fortress, already aimed at me.  The intimidating bows and arrows, not to mention they’re bright red uniforms, were something that would have scared a regular lad. But I had one thing in mind, one objective to accomplish, and I wasn’t about to quit it because my life was threatened! Let’s face it, it might have happened a few times before. Sure, it wasn’t anything like THIS, but… you get the point!  Eventually, after a couple unfortunate seconds, I managed to reply to the situation currently at hand. ‘’How did… how did you… how did you even do that so fast? I haven’t told anybody I was coming here’’….  ‘’We are usually prepared … especially for recruits ‘’I heard the old man speak again. As he finished the word ‘’recruits’’ the archers removed themselves from my line of sight. I looked back at the gate that was stuck in the snow, deeply buried. It was a respectable thing to behold, to be honest. But it also made me wonder – why was it so buried in the ground If the people there ever plan to get out? Sure, sure, all my questions would have answers – soon enough.  Some footmen wearing fur clothes  opened the wooden gate. I finally saw the old man staying before me. He had bright red hair, which surprised me. It was just the same color as the archers – which were playing cards at a half-broken table under a wall. Oh, I forgot to mention the fact that the walls around the gate were even more protective – made of old fashion iron and wooden spikes surrounding it.  The old man also had long sharp beard and black eyes. He was dressed in dark colored clothes and he had a slightly discolored cape. The edges of the cape had bear fur on them, which imposed respect. A peculiar smile stood on his face, as he introduced himself.
        ‘’Welcome to the [ word removed  ] . I am Wulfgar of [ word removed  ]    ‘’.
[size=10pt][size=12pt]Who's there?

- Narrated by Wolfthal -
The little room in which I was inside was cozy, but it still felt cold. Dam it! The whole atmosphere was cold!  After all, we were in the middle of the winter .. and I was on a hilltop, in the middle of nowhere! Wooden walls circled the room. The markings on the wood were unusual, and some might even think they are writings. Sharp lances, not stained with blood (like the last time I saw a few) stood on the ground next to the walls. Apparently, they forgot to put these in the armory. Wulfgar himself had a sword at his waist. It had a chipped corner and a sharp tip. I gazed upon the weapon because a ray of light blue light fell from the sky, went through the painted windows and then to the sword, like it was some sort of artifact. The sword suggested that the man was experienced in battle, or he might have just stolen it.
I was sitting on a chair next to the old man. He called himself a ‘’sir’’, but I wasn’t aware that he even was a knight – after all, I wasn’t aware he even existed just a few hours ago. Who sends a knight to a hilltop fortress in the middle of nowhere?
‘’ So, you’re here to join[ word removed], eh? ‘’ Wulfgar asked, rubbing his hands to get rid of the freezing snow powder that fell from the edges of his cape to his arms. The snow then fell on the table and he wiped it off.
“Aye. I’ve traveled these lands for quite a while, but it was just a few days ago that I learned of the existence of this guild. I take that your always recruiting? “.
The man gave me a sharp look . “We are, as long as you’re always willing to join. “
“What do you mean? Why else would I have come here? “
“Heh…I mean everything and nothing. As for your reason – reason is a funny thing. Some people manage to find more reasons to one single action – how am I supposed to know that you are here to actually join? Maybe you are not lying , but instead hiding another part of the truth“.
“So? Are you afraid that I was sent here by some noble to take you down? If so, why would a noble want to murder a knight? That would only suggest that you are not what you seem to be either, and then, I ask, who is the impostor? ‘’
The man smiled, without looking at me, and started pouring himself a cup of hot tea – he was doing it fast because by the time the tea got to the cup, it wasn’t even warm anymore. “This might just work, dear traveler. This might just work” – he addressed me.
“Alright then. Should I do something special to join? Murder somebody?” – I laughed, only to realize that what was going to happen wasn’t very different from the situation at hand. “Or anything like that? Just to let you know - I hate taking vows or kneeling before kings, to be honest. Every vow you take interferes with one another, till you break everything at every single move you do! “
“Oh!” the man yelled fast and quick. “ Believe me, I am no king. “
“Well, dear sir, I am no knight. “, I answered, changing my position on the chair. “I am Wolfthal”. Preparing for the next strike in this conversation, I put my arms on the half-broken table, taking care so I wouldn’t cut myself. The contrast between beautiful painted windows and chipped wooden tables, symbols on the walls and lances on the ground was extremely weird.
“Aye. I am Wulfgar. Nice to meet you.” The man attempted a handshake, mocking me again. “It doesn’t work like that, I’m afraid“ – he said, as he removed his hand from my face and his smile fainted away. But now for long! The peculiar smile reappeared on his face and a mocking laugh surrounded the room.  “You must apply. Applying requires…quite a bit of...Hmm…” He poured himself more tea “…imagination! That’s the word. You won’t be supplied with anything but some information! Fun, isn’t it?” The man started drinking the tea. He was seeing that I was curious so he was enjoying the moment, very amused, like he did with most recruits, I believe. Anyway, the man continued “In the past few days, Jarl Tyaren has been giving us quite a bit of trouble with his requests, and acted quite selfish. But this is of almost no importance to you” He taunted me and said, pointing his words very carefully, with utmost importance “What you must do, is capture him. The rest is insignificant.”
“Well... How am I even supposed to even get a…?”
The man shook his head, indicating that he won’t answer. “- care for some tea? “

How did you hear about the Roleplayers Guild?
I was just browsing the forum and I saw this thread.

Why do you wish to become apart of this sub-community?
To roleplay with a friendly and united community. I hate trying to roleplay and getting ''LOL'' as an answer - and not on OOC!. Let me give you a exemple. I was on HCRP. I just spawned in the main town and there was a man pretending that he is doing something inappropriate to a horse. I walked up to him and said ''What the...'' IC . He took out a club and beat me to death. Not to mention other random statements in the middle of nowhere , and completely out of context. . I want to be part of this community to finally find a decent Role-playing group. Extend the borders of the very light and weak role-play that some people do on the United servers. Even if I occasionally find 1-5 good role players on a server, it still doesn't make the experience that vast. That's why I want to join.

Do you have any possible conflicts that may interfere with your activity on Persistent World and participation within the guild?
Yes. I currently have a bunch of tests, even If I finished my main exams. Also, M&B: Warband is not the only game I play.
P.S: Why do I still have tests, when vacation started in some countries ? Because here it starts around the ending of June.
Oh, vacation is really close! In about 2 weeks I shouldn't have this problems any more - not all of them , nevertheless. Just about 2-3 weeks in which I will be gone this summer, and that's probably it.

Do you use and frequent Teamspeak servers? (Not required, but highly recommended)
Yes. I use it quite a bit.
By estimate, how active are you in Persistent World? (In-game, steam, forums, etc.)
About 5 hours a school week ( weekend not included ) and about 4-7 hours in the weekend, If I ain't doing anything else or, again, if I don't have any important tests. After school is over, I think I will be much more active.

I believe it would be great to see RP Guild in United server. I mean once you organize your self and grow in numbers. What is needed really in PW is clan of players who RP Kingdom in "real" PW world. "Real" means brutal, full of trolls and randomers or just players who are new and do not really get it what is PW about.

RP Guild mission would be to create safe haven for those players who like to learn RP ways. RP Guild should lead by example and try to establish it self as real force in PW, which would be as well feared as respected by "non-RP" players.

It is only way [IMO] to really change PW community: show to the players how RP works and that RP does work.
[In the same way so called "western world" try to change whole world. Security. Education. Influence.]

This make you perfect serf, engeneer or emissary/spy. RP KIngdom differ from normal nomadic faction. It has to have all jobs covered.

I ain't a very good fighter and my ping is always between 300 and 400, both in HCRP and in United_Roleplay, but if I can win when I'm in disadvantage of 1 against 2, then you probably got a huge chance of winning in group battles.

There is probably a lot of better excuses that can explain why we should avoid doing events in United_Roleplay server, but the ping is not one of them.

It was meant to be taken with a bit of sarcasm, but both your points are valid, Im usually on the front lines doing the fighting, so it would be interesting, Novictus, if i did some other role such as the ones you listed.

It is interesting in deed. Most of the time I find my self in situation when without being a lord I have to think like one to keep faction up. Usually as soon players have their gear their happy. They do not think about future. They do not check if they have weapons, food or resources in stock. The most succesfull faction have all departmant covered and once more advance players are soldiers others work on the basics. Serfs should be new players in general but at least one of them must be veteran to lead the way. The same story with eng.

EDIT: IMO the most important mission of the faction is not to conquer but to protect what they have, serfs in particular. If faction economy works undisturbed then the rest is easy.

I love the idea here, it is very similar to one i had about hiring actors on the server.

THe thing i dont like is the almost disconnected feel of the pre planned events you are doing.  I was on twice while you were doing a "performance" and both times i saw alot of admin abuse of situations with non guild characters.  If you are going to do this you have to be open to the elements of creativity from the players around you.  Like lefox said splitting the community with a small group inside the already split server is a bad move.  Now instead of admin support for all i can see it going 1. rp giuld 2. regular rpers 3. new players 4. semi trolls 5. trolls

So i mean great ideas here but lets make sure the rp in server stays live and connected. Oh and please make sure it makes sense int he scope of the world we all live in on the server.  So no judges who have authority in a city theydo not own coming and killing citizens and those who argue with their actions in the city they know is owned by the local faction.

I like what le fox said about establishing facitons and roles within the game system.  This would make for a much richer and more complete role play experience for the community as a whole.

The thing about your idea was that you were more or less bribing players to "roleplay", which is certainly not the spirit of the game at all. You are bold to tell me that I abuse my powers as an administrator when you dish out gold to a handful of players that would otherwise not roleplay anymore than the average player on the other server. With the Roleplayers Guild, players voluntarily apply or are invited and they become responsible for the planning of roleplay events in addition to pumping the playerbase up to participate. Virtual gold is NOT an incentive here; the love and desire to create a story is all of the encouragement these dedicated players need to keep them going.

Regarding the trial "event" that took place yesterday, that was a "drop of a dime" happening. Several of us were online and in 10 or less minutes we decided to hop onto the server and create a scene (Not a negative one, mind you). We also had a mini test event later that evening, and if you were online to witness such, we had ALOT of players that hopped into the action. There were very little complaints about how the test event ran, and the majority of the participants enjoyed themselves.

What you don't seem to understand is that we are not "splitting the community" any further, rather organizing ourselves more efficiently to host events to bring the community together and to attempt to increase the amount of roleplay and those who engage it in on the HCRP server. Any further comments or concerns can be sent directly to myself via private message.

Paying an actor to play a role on a server is no different than offering administrative covering over someone playing a role.  Either way they are getting some kind of admin support for doing what they are supposed to be doing on the server already.  So you have a false sense of what i was doing that day.  I did not pay them and say now behave and ill pay you.  They had goals and tasks they had to achieve in order to earn their wage for acting.  In fact after you came and talked to me i stopped and the player that i paid to lead a faction as i directed him did quite well and the faction was controlled and run with good rp.

Btw i did witness your evening event i was Jordan.  That is were i witnessed an admin get angry about our creative addition to the scene.  Oh and its funny cause you teleported to the boat while we were on our way to IC find you.  So id say there was some admin abuse in the whole rp.  If you would of let us come and find you, there would not of been that whole ugly scene on the boat.  I was in the middle of telling your redguard friend that once we landed he would have to stay and we would personally return the lady to his master.  Then we were going to meet with you, get paid and kill you.  I took the idea from playing skyrm just like you guys.

ANyways i already stated my concerns if i have more i will pm you.
