Decided to change my personal text and part of my sig again. It's once more part of a song.

Novos Baianos - Dê um Rolê

The lyrics go like this:

Não se assuste, pessoa,
Se eu lhe disser que a vida é boa
Não se assuste, pessoa,
Se eu lhe disser que a vida é boa

Enquanto eles se batem,
Dê um rolê que você vai ouvir
Apenas quem já dizia:

Eu não tenho nada
Antes de você ser eu sou
Eu sou, eu sou amor
Da cabeça aos pés

Eu sou, eu sou amor
Da cabeça aos pés
Eu sou, eu sou amor
Da cabeça aos pés

E só to beijando o rosto
De quem dá valor
Pra quem vale mais o gosto
Do que cem mil réis

Eu sou, eu sou amor
Da cabeça aos pés
Eu sou, eu sou amor
Da cabeça aos pés.

Which I freely translate as:

Don't be surprised, person,
If I tell you that life's good
Don't be surprised, person,
If I tell you that life's good

While they hit each other,
Hang around and you'll hear
Simply who already said:

I have nothing
Before you were, I am
I am, I am love
From head to toes

I have nothing
Before you were, I am
I am, I am love
From head to toes

And I'll only kiss the face
Of the ones who value me
And that care more about the taste
Than a hundred thousand réis

I have nothing
Before you were, I am
I am, I am love
From head to toes.

"Réis" was the currency name.

Big fan of MGMT here. Although not really specified as rock, they make great psychedelic music.

One of my favourite psychedelics from Hendrix:

I just found this thread and wanted to post a part of my experience:
Unfortunately most of your links are blocked for German YouTube users... and I won't post any links...but you may find the songs somehow...

Many many songs of 'The Beatles' are psychedelic, whole albums, just the best songs that weren't mentioned yet:
The Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows
The Beatles
- I'm Only Sleeping
The Beatles - Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite
The Beatles
- A Day In The Life
The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
The Beatles
- Blue Jay Way
The Beatles - I Am The Walrus
The Beatles
- Strawberry Fields Forever
The Beatles - Revolution 9
The Beatles
- Only A Northern Song
The Beatles - It's All Too Much
The Beatles
- Across The Universe
and many more
My favourite albums are "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Magical Mystery Tour"
maybe you don't know these songs:
The Beatles - What's The New Mary Jane
The Beatles - Not Guilty
The Beatles
- Circles
You should watch the Beatles movie "Yellow Submarine", but it could be hard to understand the humour for someone who has never been in Pepperland.

The Doors, maybe the greatest psychedelic band ever, every album, most of the songs are psychedelic, so only a few examples:
The Doors - Light My Fire
The Doors
- The End
The Doors
- Break On Through (To the Other Side)
The Doors
- Spanish Caravan
The Doors
- Not To Touch The Earth
The Doors
- The Soft Parade
The Doors
- Someday Soon (many people don't know this song)
There is a very good concert that you should watch: The Doors - LIVE at Hollywood Bowl -1968
The name 'The Doors' is influenced by a book: Aldous Huxley: The Doors of Perception

King Crimson, a really great band
My favourite albums are: "In the Court of the Crimson King" (1969) & "Red" (1974), but every Album is a new experience, from 1969 up to our days. There are plenty of really good songs but maybe a good example:
King Crimson - Lark's Tongues in Aspic (I remember a coloured version of 1972)

Many Pink Floyd songs expecially from the albums "A Saucerful Of Secrets", "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and "Soundtrack from the Film More", a few examples:
Pink Floyd - Flaming
Pink Floyd
- Interstellar Overdrive
Pink Floyd
- Astronomy Domine
Pink Floyd
- Vegetable Man (many people don't know this song)

several songs by diverse bands:
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
The Byrds
- Eight miles high
The Small Faces
- Itchycoo Park
The Who
- Circles
The Velvet
Underground - Venus in Furs
David Bowie
- The Man Who Sold The World (album version 1970)

I remember something like 'psychedelic Jazz' and a psychedelic session of Miles Davis that I heard in the radio many years ago. If anybody knows anything about that, please let me know...

There's a whole type of German psychedelic music called "Krautrock". You'll find many bands, some are awful, some are interesting...for example:
Amon Düül II - Between the eyes
Can
- Mother Sky
Embryo
- People From Out the Space

the following song was originally meant as a satire, but I really like it:
Peter Cook & Dudley Moore - The L.S. Bumble Bee

Songs of the 80s and 90s:
Tuxedomoon, a band with many different sounds, new wave + jazz, for example:
Tuxedomoon - Desire
Tuxedomoon
- New Machine

Flipper - You Nought Me
Smoke City
- Numbers
The Breeders
- Cro-Aloha
and many songs of Sonic Youth

If you see colours it's just your imagination .

I also love this genre.

I recently inherited a box of LPs from the 60s which I've been slowly working my way through.

Two bands I've started to get into as a result are The Incredible String Band, and Country Joe and the Fish.

I also got, I believe, every Grateful Dead album ever made, which I am very happy about.

Flaming Lips - Do You Realize

"Do you realize, that you have the most beautiful face
Do you realize, we're floating in space,
Do you realize, that happiness makes you cry
Do you realize, that everyone you know someday will die

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes, let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Do you realize, oh, oh, oh
Do you realize, that everyone you know
Someday will die"

Some beautiful **** here.
