PS4 Warband (Female character mechanics)

So I’ve been playing as the female character and I am on day 378. I am the Queen of my own kingdom. I own half the map. My renown is 1,578. Honor is 63. Right to rule 61. 

For the most part, I understand the unique basic ideals behind the difficulties of being a female character (to top it off starter as a commoner too. No noble status to back me up). However, there are a few things I keep racking my brain over because I cannot find ANY information online. I even read the entire manual of the in depth game parts located at ( can’t post external links due to new account... but it’s something like ://steamcommunity/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=121687291

What is immediately on my mind is... can a female character gain favor with a lady? Not for the sake of courting, but really to use the lord relationship features so I can bribe my whiny lords that get mad anytime they don’t get a fief.

I have not had one lady offer me a quest since the start of the game. I am wondering if it is even possible? Since PS4 seems to be Vanilla only, options for diplomacy are very limited. As a female I can’t simply marry a wife and have her do the relationship tasks.

So, does any know how to gain favor with a lady as a female character for the sake of improving negative relations with lords? My lords apparently dont even have an option for helping with a task... so I’m limited to battles/fiefs/standing in realm ( which is always a do you want to marry)

As a female, your only option is to complete quests. Sometimes a lord that likes you will want you to escort one of his female family members, do that. A more common option will be to rescue her imprisoned son/husband/father/brother. To do this, simply wait for a lord to be imprisoned, and go ask a related lady for a quest.

As per the escort of their lady, all my highest relationships are within my own kingdom lords. ( as well as my lowest lol) However, whenever I speak to any of my own lords... it does not give me any option to ask if they need help with a task. Is this supposed to work like this? Seems odd that I can’t help my own lords, yet I can assist and help enemy lords...

As a high renown Queen, or a well liked friend, they won't offer trivial quests anymore. Just wait until a lord is inevitably captured, and talk to a female family member.

Answer, yes! I'm playing as a female commoner turned queen and have gotten a few ladies to like me by duelling for their honour. Just ask if they need a champion, and hopefully one will. Look for ladies with a bit of controversy. The last one I helped was apparently bedding stable boys while her husband was away on campaign, or so said the petty lord I whupped... The downside is you take a rep hit with the lord that was smearing their name, but having a lady or two on your side is nice to be able give gifts and raise rep with other lords. Hope this helps!

An easy way to get relation with ladies is to go to them for the rescue prisoner quests instead of their husbands. If the tavern tells you so and so needs help rescuing a family member, you can just go to the lords castle and get the quest from his wife/sister instead. It actually easier because she will stay in that spot usually.

Likewise, if you see prisoners in a garrison you can just look who/where their family members are and pick up the quest, usually. I don't think you can have 2 rescue prisoner quest at a time, at least I've never been able to pick up a second.

I think you just have to get as many ladies to like you as you can and hope to recrute there guys at some point so you have a lady who will let you send gifts to the lords with -relation. You can only do this for lords in the same faction with -relation though, so it's only worth it once in a awhile anyways, much better to just focus on getting good lords then rewarding the jerky ones.

Every time you capture a castle/city you take the ladies inside hostage. If you enter the castle, you can choose to release them. I can't remember, but I think you get improved relations with them if you release them.

Yes, you can release them if you want and your relation with them increases.

Rescuing captured lords will be your destiny. Their female family members are your friends.
