Prosperity

This Warband feature is both a blessing and a curse. Every other day the prosperity of my towns and villages change from Poor to Rich or Average to Rich or Rich to Average...

Is there any way to keep the prosperity on Rich, and is there any way to improve the prosperity of a town? I buy my supplies from villages and towns, I buy other items as well, I protect caravans, I build improvements, basically I help how much I can and yet still my rents are never on maximum.

Any thoughts?
