Prosperity and wealth

I've been looking around for some info on how to increase prosperity and wealth of towns, but I haven't seen anything yet. Can someone point me in the right direction? Or tell me what would make a city like Praven go from poor, to average, to rich. Basically, right now it just fluctuates between average and poor, but I would like to get it up to rich. It was like that before it got sacked 3 times in the rebellion war. =/

im pretty sure that prosperity of a town depends on a couple things, such as how many caravans are coming and going from that town (which increases your payout from Trade Tariffs on the budget screen thing), and the prosperity of the villages connected to it.

Hmm, yeah, my villages may not be in the best condition at the moment. I haven't checked in awhile, but a few were doing fairly well before a few Rhodok's made a last ditch effort and decided to sack my villages - and they had no territory left, so I don't understand why they decided to go and attack my fiefs instead of trying to take back a town. They're just in limbo at the moment and will be defeated soon enough.
