We aren't testing it on mobile phones.
The thing is, we ran into an issue that seems to affect ATI users a lot more than Nvidia users and are trying to sort that out. We also, as I said, somewhat overstrained the game engine, and are making adjustments. We have a variety of machines amongst the Dev Team and testers, some high end, some older and lower end. The goal is to make it playable on most levels of machine, except true antiques or grossly underpowered machines, without sacrificing some great features.
The bones of the mod are pretty well in place, the devil is in the details. SD has more specialty spawns to put in and a bunch of quests to add in before the next beta test, AFTER he and MadVader sort bugs in the current Beta 5. Some of the new spawns are going to be great fun to fight, too, but none will be pushovers! Pendor has gotten even more dangerous, expecially for beginners in the game. Once you get levelled up, you'll still be challenged. The end game will no longer be boring, either - that's a problem in M&B Native and many mods - when you are nearly there, it sort of gets tiring just to keep on taking the last few castles and whacking the odd bandit group.
The rgl errors: "can't find mesh xyz" and stuff like that, while not game-breaking, are really annoying. Poland S is right - not one beta has been save-game compatible and many of the problem fixes - had the mod released prematurely - would have also been non-save compatible. SD does not want to have to do a gazillion patches as bug reports pour in after he releases the mod. There may still be bugs when PoP 3 is released, but we hope that any needed patches will be save-game compatible. At least we will know that the more egregious problems that are game-breaking have been fixed before the release, exploitable loopholes will be closed, things which cause CTDs will be fixed. It takes a lot of time to monitor bug reports and SD is running out of time. MV wants to get going on his Warband ( see "Warband blah, blah, blah" posts) port, not spend lots of time on bugs in PoP 3 for 1.011.
