@Templar Fan:  PoP 3 is for M&B V 1.011.  We are investigating a port to Warband, but that will be a different game in many, many ways, in fact, almost a brand-new PoP.  You get Warband the same way we all did - shop for the best price and pay it.  I bought mine from Taleworlds in support of Armagan.  Considering how many freebies we all get, thanks to the modding community and Armagan's generosity in releasing his source codes to the community, the price of Warband is a great bargain.

Not Warband, I already bought that on Steam for $30.  Don't you need the original Mount % Blade game to play this?  That's what I need to find on the CHEAP.

Steam had it on sale not long ago for under $20.00, as I recall.  You can also check Direct-to-Drive - they had a good deal on it, I think, and you can check out Paradox Interactive's page for their price.  Why not just check out one of the price comparison pages online?  You will need to buy V 1.011 Mount & Blade to play PoP 3.

It's a hindrance that original m&b is not included in warband.Actually,Armagan should do something about it.

Templar_fan, I'm thinking that your name should imply, that you are a fan,who thinks itself a templar? Would be a sight worth seeing.

For a very long time one of our team members, Sysyphe,  has been laboring on creating something really amazing.  Early this week he sent me completed files on Janos and the D'Shar interior villages.

I wanted to share these with you and to publically thank him for all of his effort.  Really Great job!

Well.. here is some screens from Pop BETA v4...

Lets start with Janos..which is huge.. several times larger than any other city.

Sysyphe... thank you for all your long and tireless work on this..

Not necessarily. Mount and Blade is very reliable and non-demanding in that aspect. PoP´s not much more demanding. Unless you´re using a stone-old system you won´t have to do much eyecandy cut to play it fluently. Unless you  have to play at battlesize 25 to keep it running. In that case, it´s time for a new graphic card.

In fact, the current PoP 3 beta loads faster and also takes less time to download than V2.5 because MadVader and others went through and drastically reduced a number of unused things, Noosers pruned the items, Abyss has made sure his new weapons are not problematic.  I did the same with the audio files.  We are trying to make sure the game - as SD always intended - will not overstrain older systems.

That is so nice to hear! I recently had to rebuild the beast from cast offs. Even 3rd generation back would now be an upgrade. With economic conditions as they are, no change is likely in the near future ... possibly the far future, either.

The Dev Team is testing PoP 3 on low to high-end systems, and SD's game design computer is an older one, so I think most of you will find the game runs fine for you.  We are paying a lot of attention to that aspect, I assure you, and have already eliminated some things that were producing crashes for some of us on the team.

You used to be able to get M&B for five bucks at most other online stores, then warband came and I guess someone decided people must enoy this stuff so they raised the price back again, some places are still charging $30. I fall under the boat of 'meh, I already played this' when it comes to Warband. The only way I'd get it is if PoP 3 had been for it only. But you say the port will be almost a different game? How so? (if you know) Some of what I've seen of warband sounds like it could be epic with a PoP twist to it. (the whole family thing and what have you)

That is why it will be a different game, and for other reasons, too.  Warband can handle a lot more of our PoP improvements than 1.011, so things we'd like to do in PoP 3 for 1.011 but can't will possibly make it into the Warband port.

SD will have new ideas for PoP's port to Warband, and lots of the Dev team have evil plans for you in the Warband port, and the list is growing.  Our Dev Team's take on many aspects of Warband will prove most interesting.  We all have lists of what we want to fix, what we don't like about Warband, what we'd like to change and what we can do with some of Warband's features to make them really fun.

That was on the suggestions list long ago.  On the Dev Forum, we discussed pretty much everything on the list, except the joke suggestions.  SD sets the building times and he seems happy with them.

I'll take stable over shiny any day. Keep doing what you are doing; PoP is incredibly stable and aside from the occasional vertex buffer issue (which I suspect is tied more to my video card than anything in the game, not to mention my fondness for cranking up the battlesizer) runs like a champ. Warband isn't going anywhere. I'll pick it up when it's got something (like PoP for Warband) to really attract me. For now I'm just eager to see PoP 3 for native.

@Griefer: That vertex buffer problem can occur in the Empire particularly in sieges,  when there is a broadhead spear sticking out of every surface, as they don't go away as do many of the other weapons.  We also discovered the broadhead spears were lacking LODs.  We are actually working on that particular problem in PoP 3 and it seems fixed.  Cranking the battle sizer well up will do it too, unless you cut back to nil on ragdolls and corpses, and even then can be problematic.
