Sergeant Knight at Arms
So.. welcome to our vision of Prophesy of Pendor V2.0.

This thread is designed for us to discuss the game and generally go over any initial rough spots that may occur.

EDIT: HAHAHAHA This is my 50th post.  The first post in which I ACT like a recruit, I'm not one anymore!

Too perfect.

Enjoy the game, folks.  We enjoyed making it.

I have been lurking on this subforum since I first heard about this mod a few weeks ago and have been looking forward to the 2.0 release since then. I'm downloading it now and just want to thank you SD and the entire team for the amount of time and love you have put into this mod!

shiiiiiiit... it's now 1:42 am in Denmark. Why so late  Now I CAN'T sleep!

I've been logging in every 30 minutes for the last 16 hours.

EDIT: downloading... 1 hour, 11 minutes remaining

You are most welcome Rando..

Hey congrats saxondragon and the team. You finally did it, but with bad timing for me :p. My internet is screwed up in the most retarded way (I can use firefox, but nothing else, and I can't get onto any online games or networks including Steam) so I can't play for (hopefully) another few days. Time to beg my dad to fix it. Thanks again, and I can't wait to play as it will give me some fuel to continue my long-in-need-of-update story. GO SAXONDRAGON, WOOT!

Just gonna drop in here really quick to say that it appears that the Panoramic Mod works with Pendor 2.0.

- And it says v1.011 on the title screen??

Hi Ben,

The 1.011 is the version of Mount&Blade..

That is good to know about the Panoramic Mod.. That is something to put into the Wiki for future reference.  I was fairly certain that graphical mods will work, and not at all confident of any tweaks.

Best,

Saxondragon

... Is this the biggest mod ever released for Mound and Blade?
I don't have TLD, the biggest I had (before PoP1) was Tripartition...

Folks, if you've enjoyed Prophesy of Pendor, regardless of version, please take a moment to register on the repository and rate the download.

(You may have to wait a bit until the repository has a chance to recover its balance.... you folks did terrible things to it today! )

Thanks a million!

I do not know.. the size is generally a reference to textures, music and sound.. and we have .. well.. more than most in those departments.. ~S

Well I have played it for all of 5 minutes (long enough to make a character ) So I can't say too much but I can already say that the changes to the title screen, the excellent song that plays there, and the new theme to the UI show a lot of effort and I look forward to diving in and getting whipped. When I've had a chance to play deeper into the mod I might try writing a review on the repository and forums.

In the mean time I want to see if I can't at least get the tweak for changing how cattle follow you working. I know I take my life into my own hands but I refuse to have to deal with the old way of cattle herding! NEVER!

Mate.. it is already there.  I listened.

First "rough spot":

Got owned by three groups at the same time: D'Shar Raiders, Vanskerry Raiders (Jarl Karl...lol that's just worth a snot bubble or two) and who I thought I was attacking a small band of Outlaws.  Ended up being 1 vs. 32.  GAH!  Let me just say that a decent spotting skill is your friend  :!:

Watch out for those spawn points that SD sprinkled all over the place like sugar over strawberries.  Have you run into Inar Hairybreeks or Hrothgar the Fat yet?

Yes.. you HAVE to pick your battles and be very careful.  We talked long about making the map more dangerous..  I believe we succeeded just at the right temperature...and you are exactly right.. spotting is your friend.

The rule is: if they are neutral or better with your enemy AND they are negative towards you, AND in range, they will join in against you.

Is there any major point to raising frindship with such faction as renegade knights and manhunters? Do they offer to join ect...

Short answer, no, beat them up take their stuff   Renegade Knights are a great source of loot.  Especially heavy armors and such.  Leave them alone until your party is strong enough to attack them and then let the hunt begin!!!!  Keep in mind many renegade knights carry missile weapons.  Also keep in mind, the foot troops that renegade knights have with them can be a bigger pain than you may appreciate (Huscarls and Empire Legionaries come to mind...)
