Proper balance in simulated battles

I don't really have much to say personally, but I think it would be helpful to have a place for players to share their thoughts on the current stregnths and weaknesses of the auto calculation system used in ai vs ai battles, and for the devs to explain their plans for improving the system and how feasible some of the more complex suggestions may be.

I think most people here would agree that should be some improvements. Particularly in regards to the lack of nuance involved in forming the numbers, but I would like to hear what others think.
