1.  Finally fixed the autoloot system bugs, which turned out to be major; I think that maybe when I upgraded to 1.143 Module System, I deleted the process_items Python I was using to auto-generate offsets; either that, or I never did get it to work; tbh that was a long time ago and I forget.  Oh well, fixed now  :lol:

Companions will no longer wear armor higher than their STR, period.

Females will no longer loot male helmets; if you want them to wear male helmets, you have to do it manually and quit using autoloot. 

2.  Fixed various other smallish bugs in the combat system, resolved some things for the main battles.

3.  Grenadiers have been adjusted; they are stacked to use their grenades first, firearms second.  They no longer randomly spawn with shields and always get helmets.  This makes them useful in an assault role, but they're still not ubiquitous.

4.  Water got prettier.
 
Huh.  I hadn't tested it before, but I can now report that there's a bug with the Alephs;  Apparently they have magic go-anywhere powers at the moment, and are pleasantly unphased by minor things like walking through trees.

What's really weird is that they don't fall through certain surfaces, like they can walk out on that rock bridge.  But they step right through houses.

I have this sneaking suspicion that, like the disappearance of their name-tags, it's just an engine bug I have to live with, if I want them to be anything like scale.

what if i want to use them as rangers and go with grenades after? (like in a siege)

normally most troops will switch if no targets appear that they can use their currently equipped weapon on.
 
I think a command with the name - USE CANNON WEAPONS -

Would help, and if you dont have it activated, they won't use any cannon weapon at all.
 
it doesn't make much sense as whoever has cannons usually doesn't have any other ranged weapon and so "hold fire" would have the same effect
 
grenades count as trowing, not cannons
also making a whole new command for something that affects pretty much only one troop type is a bit overboard

when holding they should use ranged, when ordered to charge grenades once in range
 
Well, we're in unknown territory here, so I don't know yet  :lol:

The idea behind some of the troops is that they have grenades (or, in the case of Female Irregulars, javelins) first, so that they engage with grenades during a cavalry rush, which does a really good job of smashing cavalry.  Then they would switch to a missile weapon and pound incoming infantry or archers that remain at a longer range.

With Grenadiers, the general idea was that they would engage with their firearms first, in an anti-archer role, then take out infantry and cavalry during the final rush.  Or, during siege, you'd hold them back until they were out of firearm ammo, then engage with grenades.

I don't think either is really working right; it really seems to me that the engine prefers to make 'em use shorter-range weapons first, and it won't switch.  I'll have to think about this, but I think that telling them weapons are free should cause them to go for their longest-range weapon, giving people a switch.  IDK yet; this is a bit of a mystery for me.
 
its a great mod and i have see the model request topic and i think thats pretty good i just wanna ask that have you enter the model in the blood and steel ? if its not can you please give me the download link i would like to play using that new items that you create  :mrgreen:
 
all of your mod is great but i still think about the food because i saw the pork,chicken and some other food its only 5/5 and see your mod that we need to get many troop to war but its kind of lack of good food  :neutral:. otherwise i see the is food with 200/200 quantity and its only +1 morale to the troop, i think you should and more quantity to the good food like pork and chicken to 150/150
