So yeah, have you done any programming? If you have, what language do/did you use? Have you created your own program?

I myself have been using Rebol for some time now and done some little programs with it. Currently doing a music player though it's still in very early stage. The program itself is very small. Only 743kb Sorry but I dont currently have any pictures of it.

Started off with BASIC when I was a ten year old, then moved onto visual basic 6. I have done some stuff with C++, but I now mostly program in assembly language for a PIC microcontroller - I've made a programmable pattern generator and a hollywood-bomb-timer-emulating 7 segment LED driver. Programming firmware can be quite a lot more interesting and varied than coding software if you're into the electronic side of things.

im learning Java in my studies. Still not so good, but can make small games and such. Its basically all about searching on internet for methods you can use to do what you want.
Have made two mini, very crappy games so far. But its quite fun, even if im not any good.
