Has anyone noticed how towns in the Sarranid territories have no male civilians whatsoever? Has anyone also seen how all female civilians (including desert bandits) in Sarran don't have any footwear? Now wouldn't touching a sand baked desert with one's bear feet feel painful for someone.

are you sure about this? never played sarranids but it seems i'm going there next, **** the nord with all their booze, wars and parties, sarranids have the girls! (or even better i'll conquer sarranids right when i start nords when i start my own kingdom.)

Apparently, Sarranid lords will recruit their brothers and cousins to the military. The lord of the fief themselves is responsible for the next generation. No wonder there are so many sworn vassals!

I do recall a lot of women in the Sarranid towns, but I can't confirm whether they were wearing shoes or not till I get home and have a look.  Perhaps every male is conscripted into the army, so the women have to run the towns

Hmm, during the post and pre-Fatimid period in the Middle East it was vital for men to be used in other tasks rather than military service. Many men during this period where merchants or craftsmen in cities. Surprisingly, women in the middle east culturally during this period had more rights than most other women in the world. This though does not explain why their is a lack of men in the Sarranid towns. Also, many countries along the Levant and Barbary coasts respectively had large flourished with the slave trade in this period. Many of these slaves were used in their their armies anyway (e.g the mamelukes) for a variety of reasons; soldiers not requiring pay, a larger population of freemen.

well atleast when warrior comes back from war he doesn't find his wife having sex with other man, but other woman, and he doesn't have to kill them he may just jump right in

And yet, when you try to recruit villagers to your army, men do join... so perhaps the women keep the men indoors, and don't let them out?  Oh, except for war, since this is Mount & Blade: Warband

lol.
i can image Sarranid women saying: men they only good for kitchen and war. why should we give those emotional fools any power?

In Soviet Sarranid men are locked away from the public and must wear veils (of mail or at least a turban) if they go out into the public.
