whenever i go to the load char screen the cpu freezes on that screen and if i shut down the computer it gives me the mount&blade retry ignore and some other thing

Maybe you got a corrupted save gamefile? Try to put all savegames out of your M&B folder and retry!

If that dont work reinstall M&B and put your savegames into the new installation.

tried it didnt work and i dont want to uninstall it because ill have to restart my mods oh btw this started happening when i did player mod

The game only crashs when you use your mod? Then your mod is messed up... if the load screen always crashs when you enter it even with native.

Then you have to reinstall. You can copy your old mods files into the new installation. So no lose.
