problem? with combat

This has happened a few times, when fighting large groups of enemies, and losing all of my comrades. My health will be really low, and I'll retreat, re-enter the batte, fight till my health is low, retreat, re-enter, etc. But then I'll retreat and my health will be too low to re-enter, but I also don't have the option to leave the battle. All there is is a 'surrender' button, which is the same as losing. I think it should allow a suicidal attack at this point, regardless of health... might as well take a few of them out with you if you're gonna die regardless. Unless someone can explain the rationale behind it of course.

Well, my guess that after your health had reach a sertain (low) percentage, you are considered "wounded" and cannot participate in a fight. (Try figting when you are stabbed and slashed all over ).

sure, but the critical point where you simply can't go on is 0 health, isn't it? That's when you fall unconscious. I'm just peeved at seeing only one option: lose. No matter the odds against you and your wounds, if you're still alive you should be able to attempt to fight yourself out.
