Problem connecting to forums

Gculk asked me to post this:

Recently I have been having persistant problems with connecting to the forums, requiring me to restart the internet connection, computer, and just now, making it impossible as far as I can tell to connect.  I can open the main M&B page, and all the other links there excepting the forums, and this problem has only really started recently.

I am using DSL internet and Vista ultimate (I think, it came with CPU) OS.

Well my connection is back, but it cuts out at random times, and will remain out, but only for this site for hours.  So if anyone has any ideas post em up or send me a PM.  Thanks.

Are you sure your cord hasn't fallen out or something like that? Otherwise my bet is on Vista. It ****s up everything.

all the other links there excepting the forums, and this problem has only really started recently.

Not to mention I was talking to him over teh intarwebz to post this means that the cord didn't fall out.  I can't think on how Vista would cause it to be so random, because when vista ****s something you have to go out of your way to stop it from being in your way before it fixes itself.

Okay I feel sufficiently stupid now. My only other guess is Vista.

Vista works fine with the forums. Have you got a static IP address? If it's dynamic, it might be triggering one of the bans.

Static.  Also, it isn't the ban message, it is just cannot connect to the server at htt://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php

Be a hell of a roll if I did trigger the bans though .

I change my IP many, many times, (for various reasons  ) and I don't have problems at all.

Hopefully the address you check has the missing "p" back in it....

Not sure, sounds like some problem related to the nameserver you're connecting to. If that's the issue it could be with your ISP, or the way you have your internet connection set up.

Yes it has the p .  I will check out the ISP, but it seems to be working, for now at least.
