problem as rebel faction with other allied rebel lords

i originally had an order for the allied lords to follow me around.  then i changed orders for them to patrol a certain area.  after a while, they won't follow me again if i ask them and keeps saying they are busy with their own business.  what's up with that?  their armies are big so it's not like they need to replenish their troops.  and to make it worse, they won't enter battle with me when i start one with our enemies.  before, if i had them in the vicinity, they would automatically join the battle on my side when i try to attack enemies but now the only way i can battle together is if they initiate the battle with the enemy and i join.  am i experiencing a bug?  the only changes i made to the game involving allied faction was a txt tweak to allow making peace of rebel factions with other factions.  could this have messed things up?

I don't know if the tweak could have. Usually when lords don't follow you, it's because they don't like you enough. How is your relation with them?

maybe it's my relationship then.  i gave away castles to my claimant over the lords and i have a negative relationship rating with most of the lords.  so this prevents them from entering battles with me?  bastards.
