Nice mod you got here! The detail, the size... Wonderful. I love it.

One suggestion though: If it's at all possible, could the mini-map and troop count be available in ambushes? Like when you enter town and instead of going to the market you're attacked by bandits, or in unexpected quest attacks?

Not a big deal though, and I am sure you got a lot of work still as there are heroes with no actual dialogue and a lot of the political questions/responses are still default.

But keep up the good work :grin:

Those ambushes are bugged and could be removed anyway. Some troops spawn at the other end of the city or outside it. Annoys the hell out of me trying to find them.

once you figure out where the bandits spawn, every city like it will have them spawning in the same places.  Very annoying the first couple of times before you figure out where they are coming from.  One Citytype has a bandit spawn inside the guild master house and around 75% of the time he can't get out and you have to go find him; another has half the bandits spawn outside the walls and sometimes they get stuck under the drawbridge and won't come out lol :razz:  My favourite would be sometimes when you visit a village and get ambushed, the bandits start right beside you.  Even with the best armour available, I once got ambushed while I wasn't paying very good attention, a bandit struck me down with a maul and the rest kept hitting me on the ground and I couldn't get up  (death by a thousand cuts and a few good whacks with a maul, thank goodness they only stole money and my dignity and nothing important  :wink:)

The basic problem is that Taleworlds decided to use the same entry points (spawn point for all sorts of characters and walkers) for different purposes. Town guards and bandit spawns for the ambush share entry points! You either place town guards, where they don't make any sense and have a nice ambush, or place the guards properly and mess up the ambush.
Native has in general smaller scenes and doesn't suffer from this problem so much. I created a huge city scene, to have at least once the illusion, to be in a real medieval town and the scene makes up for about a fifth of medieval Aachen in Germany. I'll see if I can change that.

ouch, I can really see the problem presented by shared entry pts.  Even the weirdest bandit ambuses only take an extra minute or 2 of a player's time before they learn the spawn pts so I don't think it's worth messing up the beauty of the scenes and guard placement for something that might happen once every couple of hours of gameplay.

Or we could just outright remove the ambush scenes?

With the current spawns, it's hardly an "Ambush" and more of an impromtu game of Hide and Seek.

I just ctrl+f4 after 10 minutes of walking around trying to work out where the bandits are. Not very game breaking to be honest.

Hi everyone; this will be my first post in taleworlds forum :smile: (well; I play M&B for 2 years btw)

I have downloaded and played this mod a few days ago for the first time and after some long hours of dedicated play I cannot find superlatives to describe awesomeness of the work done by contributors and developers. Thanks for everyone!!

My story so far;

I started in Bulgaria, escorted caravans from Cairo to Nidaros, Lisbon to Trebizond and many more and made quite a sum to establish workshops in Egyptian land. Then I got a contract from Mameluke Sultan as mercenary and helped them clear the Crusaders from Middle East. After some battles I was honored by Lordship of a small town near Damascus and started to build a fortified manor. Right now Mameluke armies are triumphant and Crusader strongholds are one by one falling to our mighty armies. But a shadow looms in Anatolia, what will happen next?
