Finland.

Anyway, here's what we found one morning just a couple of meters from the front door a couple of winters ago:

Two dead rabbits and fur. The mother was found a little farther away:

Guessing from the size of the predator's paw, I guess it was a lynx:

The rabbit was still alive when found in the morning. Kicking in a pool of it's own blood, but alive. I guess the lynx ran away before it had a chance to finish it's prey.

Could it've been fox instead?

Foxes are a little smaller than that.

Not to mention that I see no claw prints in the snow, which would indicate a feline.

Alright, I'm not the tracking expert.

As a matter of fact, I know a lot less than I'd like about animal behaviour and tracks and stuff.

This. Feline predators only extend their claws while attacking.
