Okay, so here are the rules.

Each time you post, you have to write something that your country has conributed to the world in any way, shape or form. Let's try to keep this civil, okay? No country-bashing, no flaming, although your choice may/may not be criticized.

Once a substantial amount of things have been listed, I will start listing them on this post.

Okay, so for my country:

Canada has provided the world with the greatest maple syrup...ever. No exceptions.

The... atomic bomb? Does that work?

Well, we did make jazz, which is cool, I suppose. But I'd rather go about this on my homeland, Sweden, than on America. America is... kinda lame, right now, to tell you the truth.

Nothing, abso-****ing-lutely nothing worth mentioning.

Oh come now, its done a few things worth mentioning. They provided the Hackapells, for instance, who helped found modern warfare. And wasn't there this one chap during World War 2 or something who killed a 1,000 Soviets all by himself? And I hear they have some good beers, but I really havn't had any, due to my age.

Well, we've given you tea (yes, tea is a British invention dating back to around the 1680s), and ... Other, equally boring stuff.

Hitler... WWI... WWII
well, those aren't all that good, but imagine, without those things, there'd be pretty much no War movies, no WWII ego shooters.

Hm. I'm pretty sure the Song Dynasty in China first came up witht he concept of putting tea leaves in heated water to create a nice, refreshing drink. But point taken.

alot. most people don't know the (pretty much) rich culture of belgium.
Ghent is a perfect example of that
+
Beer
Belgian fries
Brussels waffles
Liègean waffles
Liègean sirup
(when you're at the coast): mussels with fries
lapin à la gueuze
chocolates and pralines

etc..

I think Britain's largest contribution to the world was giving most of it back. Apart from a few bits we particularly liked.

Huh. Apparently you must love the Falklands, then.

Don't really see whats so special about it, really...

I believe it's commonly accepted that the Chinese 'invented' tea long before the birth of Christ.

Denmark ... hmm. Niels Bohr: Quantum mechanics (and the brain behind the atom bomb).
