A cheap host.
I haven't really noticed anything like that though. If it does work, it tends to work pretty speedily. If it's down, it's completely down.

Damn that looks tasty.

Heidesand cookies are awesome, a bit like "sandkaker" from the "syv slag" cookies the northerners make around christmas.

My first try at nimono (vegetable stew) with kelp tsukemono (pickles), miso soup and rice with a salmon and nori seaweed furikake (a kind of rice seasoning). I'm really getting into japanese food, the way they balance the flavours, it's really apealing to me.

Was trying out a new recipe, and it's damn good.
Few army buds coming over this weekend. So gotta cook a lot of meat, and stock up on beer.
Probably will have more pics of a various things by the end of week.

Dammit, Paula! Please just stop playing coy and come cook for me already.

I'm baked and this food porn is making me hungry.

hmm, all these requests of people wanting me to come and cook...the first one who pays my flight, and provides food and a bed wins!

deliciously moist, didn't manage to take a photo before it was half eaten by my colleagues

I made this stir-fry with Japanese soba noodles, chunks of rehydrated soy (looks kind of like beef and has a much more meat-like texture than tofu), enoki and cremini mushrooms, green onion, broccoli, and peanuts in a spicy teriyaki sauce. In keeping with the cooking with drugs theme, I sprinkled on top some hemp seeds for added protein.

That makes me wonder since I usually use peanuts crushed in a sandwich bag or half cashews as garnish for yakisoba or the Chinese stir fried noodles equivalent to make the texture a bit more variable. Does stir frying it with the peanuts affect the flavour in any way?

It didn't, but I added the noodles and peanuts in the last few minutes only. I don't think it'd really change the taste if I had fried them longer either. Instead of peanut halves, I'd use crushed peanuts if I had them.
