SP Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic Mod *UPDATED* Modelers Needed (And i hate to ask)

Alright well me and a few friends love mount and blade, so we decided to make a post apocalyptic mod for it. We don't have a "set in stone" storyline yet, but we plan to set it around modern times, which means it will have some firearms, but i hope to make them much better then some Ive seen in other mods. Not much to say at this point but i will be updating this post as soon as we have some teasers and whatnot. Anyways please leave opinions, suggestions and complaints if you will, i love arguing with people ... sometimes :grin:

I will state this here because people seem to be getting the wrong idea, THIS IS NOT A FALLOUT MOD! It will be different in every aspect apart from mutants and apocalyptic event.

Sorry about the long delay guys, my collage exams have finally finished and i passed with flying colors, I'm going to start working on this mod again

Ok i need some modelers, and i really hate asking because i feel like a complete tool, but i need someone to make a GOOD mutant model, or multiple, every time i try to make one it looks like a pile of honey mustard with legs, if you can do these pm me please.

Also I'm having major issues with UV mapping and textured so once again i hate asking for help but if you can Pm me

And also to answer peoples concerns I can Model, Script

Ok here are some of the "features to be" so far....

* Mutants much like the Hills Have Eyes
* Rebels/Raiders who look like punk rockers
* A Power hungry faction that owns most of the technology
* New hairstyles like Mohawks, Tattooed Heads etc
* New Weapons such as Crowbars, Bats, Pipes, Shovels, 2x4s, Rebars, AK-47s, Combat Knifes, Chef Knifes, Brass Knuckles
* Guns and Ammo will be scarce
* New Map (Europe)
* No Horses, but maybe something else?? :razz:
* New Clothes such as Leather Jackets, Combat Boots, Boots, Improvised Armour
* New Damage Values to simulate real combat, so no more taking 45 blades to the face!

Possible features in the future:

* Bikes instead of horses, but will consume gasoline
* The ability to setup ambushes, without the enemy knowing
* Traps
* If you get attacked while waiting at camp, you will have some fortifications

Do you have the necessary skills, i.e modelling, skinning, mapping, scripting etc? We seem to have an influx of people who believe themselves to be modders, wherein it turns out that they actually have no knowledge whatsoever, and either expect others to do all the work for them, or simply take it from another mod. I hope this isn't another one of those cases.
 
Excellent, now at least it is worth posting here.
So...I'm just wondering if you would keep the guns to a minimum.
A post apocalyptic world would very swiftly run out of ammunition and even working guns, especially if the apocalyspe in question truly wiped Humanity off the map and a few survivors grouped together over time.
Individuals wandering alone would use it for hunting, groups for the inevitable fighting.

Also some form of mutant animal, large and deadly, running in packs, would be cool, lots of work though I guess.
 
Yes we are keeping guns to a minimum, they are most likely going to be controlled by a power greedy faction, but ammo will be scarce

Sounds exactly how I would make a mod like this (if I were)

Plus I like the sense of ambition you have. Seems like this mod will be a good one.

If they're going to have mutants, then I'd suggest something like the ones from 'the hills have eyes'. Other mutants are ****ty and ridiculous.
 
Hey guys, thanks for the ideas and support, yes I'm hoping to make some form of mutants, human based, with only slight mutations like "The Hills Have Eyes" or "I am Legend", I do not know yet on the dog side though, mostly because it would take a freaking long time :grin: .... so yea unless i can get on of my other modelers to do it then it might not happen, but hey we can always expand after initial release.
 
From what NightWolf said I'm assuming (dumb, I know (Ass/U/Me) the guns will not be futuristic, just something like what we have freely available now (not FireStorm for instance, nor pulse lasers).
As for the modern guns already implemented in mods like China WW2, I think they are fairly well done and would certainly fit a mod like this where the guns can be assumed (again) to be in a state of mild disrepair.

Edit: Just noticed the first post. All sounds great to me, no horse line and damage rethink especially caught my eye.
