How do you all feel about the changes made to the world economy? It seems at least in a post 1.4.1 world food is much more plentiful unless a war is raging so I found my old routes of selling fish to earn my first 20k doesn't work as well. It appears that the existing caravans in the game world are very efficient and moving the economy along. It's very hard to make a living as a solo trader.

Agree? Disagree?

It's harder to start, but once you get rich and can afford to buy all the "green" in a town and go around the world selling them, it becomes more and more rewarding.

I was trading in 1.4.1 beta, and would agree, hard to start, but once you get going, easy to make a solid living. Especially as my stock animals massively grew. Investing in hogs is really good, and found that the horse trade is very profitable too once you get a good idea of what they should cost. The benefit of the horse trade is it simultaneously allows you to transport more, and quickly.
