The U.S. has been crippled by political plays and political correctness. Completely crippled.
We have to inform the Afghanistan national government of any planned raids against any targets in Afghanistan. Which wouldn't be bad, if half of the government wasn't buddies with the Taliban. We're basically telling the Taliban "hey, set up an ambush, because we're coming at this time on this day." Our great commander-in-chief leaks top secret information about Special Operations in order to make himself look like a "tough on terror" CiC, which hamstrings the ability of SOF guys to do their jobs when details of their ops are being handed to the world. Whatever you want to say about Bush or any former Presidents, at least they weren't handing the enemy information on how to ambush our troops just so they could look good for their upcoming elections. Then there's the ROE in Afghanistan, which pretty much cuts off air support and artillery support half the time. And in FOBs near the Pakistan border, of course, there's the troops getting hammered by Taliban mortars and rockets from across the border - who our troops can't engage, since they're in Pakistani territory, even as Pakistani Army forces support the Taliban efforts.

If things continue the way that they have been for the last 200 years, it's going to be a lot better. Granted, global warming's probably going to suck. Banks make a huge profits, creating group so important that they can corrupt politics, controls medias and get protected from any legal action from anyone.
In case of systemic failure, the cost is drown in the country account and then use bailout to start as before again.
The money is debt, and the banks need more debts over and over as they control more and more money thanks to the interest and the return on the capital.
If no money was created, all the money in the world will end to the bank.
Central banks create money by creating debts. It's a never ending exponential bubble.
On personal side : Money buy everything, anything, anyone . More and more people are turned out into mercenaries. Values seems only for the poor and a minority of people.
Medias :
In "free" countries, medias control the people. They push up anyone "decent" in a election
The money required to participate in an election and have any chance of winning require politics to be sponsored by business and money holders. Creating corruption for anyone racing for any responsibility.
While you can vote for someone not corrupted, he will eventually be when he would start to get any responsibility or even before.
Mass medias are the ultimate propaganda machine. When several newspapers and the tv-show say something it's true. Even if some people say it's not 1 or 2 days before, this very first idea will stay.

When i get into cloths shop half of the clothing are similar to what we have in France.
When i get in fast food, half of it are similar to what we have France.
At the top of the mall, everyone is watching the same huge screen. The E.U Football.
But half isn't enough yet.
Dominants cultures will try to replace weaker one. We will see how long and how far it will run.
The world is polarized by the medias so you can understand it more easily, but the truth is hard to see, too much data to get something out of it and we are flooded in lies.

Possible wars in the future? My money is on a war between the mole people and the mechanical mice, some 30000 years from now. It will all hinge on control of the virtual cheese supply.
