23rd Partisans are recruiting and we want you!
The Partisans were a militia formed by the Russians to defend Russia and to carry out daring raids on enemy lines. If you like to be the freedom fighter, out gunned and out numbered with only what you find in the field to use as weapons, then this heroic regiment is for you. We have based ourselves on a particular band that skirmished with Napoleons troops as he tried to push into Russia, inflicting many casualties, and sabotaging key positions.
We are recruiting, and as a new regiment, looking for fighters to make a name for it, high ranks are likely to be given out early to first joiners. We are looking for experienced men to draw captains from but any can apply and if you prove yourself, you will be promoted.The ranks are:
Company Commander
Squad commander
Captain
Partisan
Civilian
More ranks will be added the more recruits we have.
In Mount and Musket, Battalion, Partisans are armed with random, mostly close quarter weapons that are unique to the class. As such, they are fun to play and are inspiring as they rush towards the guns. After surviving a heavy volley, the Partisans enter melee and are lethal, the only purpose built melee infantry class. For the common rifleman, a wave of advancing Partisans are a terror indeed.
We aim to participate in line battles and other events, and also fun play. we will try to create a good community where one can meet their comrades. In linebattles, the partisans are unlikely to do it in the usual fashion due to lack of firearms. however, we have other tactics, including salvaging weapons from the fallen, making us a unique regiment to fight and to be part of. The partizans will also feature a small core of skirmishers,to represent the hunters and marksmen employed to give covering fire.
When two ranks of line infantry are overwhelmed by waves of resistance fighters, will you be one of them?
