Positive Relations That I Don't Want

Recruit
Okay, so I saw a demon army and renegade nights battling it out, so I thought I'd make a bit of a vulture move and swoop in to help one side against the other. I could only help the renegade knights (Had a 0 relation with them), and now that I've done so I have +1 relations, and it won't let me attack any knights! Is there any way to fix this or will I have to restart if I want to fight them?

You can´t start fights with them, but you can join fights against them until you hit like +15 relations with them. Joining a fight against them should lower your relations the same amount as you gain it with the helped party.

Generally, there should be a trigger once a week to lower your relations with certain minor parties but I reckon it´s not working yet or may be implemented in a future patch.

Be careful whom you fight, when and where. You´re responsible for your action and it will have consequences - so pick your fights carefully, Pendor is a dangerous place to run around.

Uhm, interesting question ... I quote it

A possibile solution can be to wait when renegade knights battle againist someone that  you have a major relationship with? For example: a renegade knight (relation: +1) battle againist Coun Otto (relation: +20). You can help Count Otto or Renegade Knight (I think that you can do this)

Second that.
But I don't see why renegade knights are of such importance to you, they've never dropped good loot for me nor given me much experience, for me they're like just like rabble.
A real problem of this same topic would be having positive relations with noldor when they have signature lords spawned...

renegade knights are awesome to fight, given that they generally carry 2-10 farmers/milita/refugees which is easily one of the quickest ways to get pendor recruits

I couldn't agree more with you on this one noosers. I just abandoned my lvl 35 character because I had developed positive relations with the "Adventuring Company" faction, e.g. Griffonsword, Kodok & Ozwald. I just couldn't take the fact that these sole remaining potential sources of qualis gems were running around and I had no way to fight them

Fortunately, SD is aware of the issue and will hopefully address it in the next patch  :)

I see.I've never had a need for pendor recruits until I started the kingdom of pendor, for when they started pouring into my pockets like rain anyway.
But I see your point.

Why not just have a dialog option to issue insults to a given faction?  Making people mad should be easy.

Really? I have 2 cities and 6 castles and I always recruit empire troops though my faction is pendor... it just doesn't seem to work out 50/50 for some reason, so I generally go on rescue missions with about a half an army just to pick up more recruits... of course with 10 trainer and a bunch of trainer heros my turn around rate on troops is only a couple of days

I generally mass recruit in Sarleon to defend all my holdings (4 towns, 1 castle) as Sarleon Armoured Longbows cost less in upkeep, but I keep 140ish Ebony Guantlets in reserve so I can jump in any siege if it looks like we're going to lose.

I do however recruit Pendorian Recruits to replenish the Guantlets when they (rarely) die, not had a problem with this. I own the whole of the D'Shar lands but it does seem roughly 50% to me.

The magic treshold is +15 relations. If you´re over that, you can´t join an fights against anyone anymore. And I had a couple of those experiences myself while testing. Just be carfeful, with the new gain/add relations it´s even trickiers.

General Rule of Thumb: Don´t help anyone you want to fight lateron. The Enemy of Your Enemy isn´t your friend but your lost loot, Qualis gem, prisoners, rescue-es and XP.

I disagree.  The foreign knights in D'Shar territory have given me 2 (one chipped, one normal) No-Dachi's which are the cat's pajamas.  They make for good small challenges and break up the monotony sometimes.

Sarpedon;
They can break the monotony, yes, but they always run away like the gutless chickens they are when you outnumber them more than 1.5 ratio...
And I always pack at least fifty people in my group so,I dont bother garrisoning my men just to fight a couple knights.
I still sport my idea of them being rabble on the road.
And,I've never needed any other melee weapon after I bought a balanced runed bastard sword for only 40k....
If I want gear,I just go whip some noldor backsides.

I had positive relations with the Brigands. I challenged them to fight, and could only leave. I did it again, with the same result. The third time, though I could fight them (didn't even lose relation points I think).

I think that, if you approach friends often enough, it is possible to fight them. I don't know, if that works with parties with more than the threshold of +15 relations noosers mentioned, though. (the Brigands had something around +10).
