Porting char from Native to Mod?

I like the "Morale" mod, someone released, but I don't want to start over again. So, I exported my character, thinking I could just "Import" them into the mod thingy, but it didn't let me, and I can't find a way otherwise. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Make a new character with the same name in the mod you want. Import by going to character -> statistics -> import. You'll get your old stats and gold back, but nothing else.

NOTHING else? DAMN...that's pretty lame really, I like my current game world, I just wanted the Morale system added in...oh well.
