Portable???

There are other folders related to the game in other parts of your computer such as appdata and documents. It probably would run, but you wouldn't have any character data or anything.

So I would need to find all those folders and copy them to the proper folders on the computer I intend to play it on?
If i just copied the main directory from the program files, what would I be missing? Like, what all would be included in Character Data.

You need a application which forces all information into 1 folder.
That means all information:
*The program
*All user data spread around
*All registry information
*All random data spread around(example: A lot of those configs)

I see..... And I can't use daemon tools cause i don't have a cd.

Why don't you just put the installer on the flash drive (non-steam version)? Install it on the machine your using at the time. You could manually put your saved games and what not on the flash drive too.

.... I agree. What does Daemon tools got to do with anything?
If I could make an ISO of the CD, and mount it with Daemon Tools, I could install it that way.
How long would it take to install from the downloadable installer?

Same as from a fake one.

I really don't see why you would want to make a fake disc of a game that doesn't require one.
It's just arbitrary, really.

this is all very sketchy...if you're going to pirate the game, dont ask for help on the official forums

theres nothing tricky about installing warband on a different machine, unless you dont have a valid serial

I don't see anything about pirating here. Just because Daemon tools is used by many pirates doesn't mean he is one. Besides, he'd still run into problems with the serial key. It's not like he's looking for a no-cd crack.

Anyway, it's possible to make M&B portable, but it isn't worth the effort. You'd be better off putting the full installer from TW on a flash drive with your saved games and installing it on whatever machine you're on.

Except that the game doesn't actually require a disc?
Unless you have pirated a virtual disc, there's no use for Daemon tools.

You should be able to make an .iso with Daemon tools though if you've the downloaded installer from taleworlds...and then you could treat that .iso as a CD. Maybe?

Putting the installer in an iso is not what I consider piracy, even if it is a little convoluted.

Well this is a waste of time, you're just saying the same thing I said in the first place.

If there's no reason to do it other than piracy, then duh.

But he can't pirate it that way; he'd still face complications with the serial key. I'm not saying there's no reason to do it that way; I'm saying there are better options.
