I think I found a bug: I was doing GM quest to capture Snake Cult Stronghold. I asked 3 other lords to help me take it.  When they arrived, I said "together we can take the stronghold" and they started assaulting.  I join the assault and after killing 600 troops the snake cult retreat.  I kill the 3 troops inside and it says we win.  After, I talk to the lords and they are like "i won't forget how we took the stronghold together."  Sounds good, but when I go to enter the Stronghold.. it still says I have to assault it.  and I have to fight the 60 man garrison that my friends left.

I'm gonna try reloading and see if it happens again.. I hope it's not because I wasn't the first person to assault

Edit: I just tried it again and it still happened.  I think maybe an error occurs after I win the first battle.  I briefly see a red message before the castle fight begins but it disappears before I can read it.  Afterwards, I can no longer see battle messages (e.g. milita has killed knight etc). And after I win, there is no "you have won! press tab to leave" notification.  I just press tab after waiting for a few seconds..

Edit2: After massacring the garrison the name changes from snake cult stronghold to order stronghold. so I guess it had to do with the fact another lord led the assault
It's a bug that is getting fixed. Always read the OP.

I would propose you to make an option for players not to be able to easily take over a sacked city. Or come up with some sort of variable that doesn't allow it. It's too easy and people take advantage of that..cheaply.
That's why I planned to lower the frequency of attacks. Sacked cities are supposed to be vulnerable both to the player and the AI. Might increase the post-siege garrison a bit too.

I didn't see an option to choose gender for the custom order you can create when i got around to starting a Pendor-cultured kingdom. Would it be possible to have a female upgrade path from Maiden Nobles, like the Falcons, or would coding difficulties prohibit this?
 
Glad to hear that the F1 issue is an actual bug; I had been fearful that I'd gotten stuck with the least disciplined group of legionnaires in all of the Empire.  Gladder to know you guys are fixing it.  Keep up the good work!

Honestly it's weird they only have the option for female troops from valkriyes/ fredstone culture.. Players should be able to gender bend their slaves units as they want..
 
A pretty common error in my game:
Game crashes with the following error message: "Unable to load texture file banded_armor_mail_leather_grun.dds" 

Maybe that particular texture file is corrupted?
 
Should be fixed honestly but it's really simple to do. Go to textures and look that armor up and change the name to match what you just wrote, because the u in the files has a weird icon over it.
 
If you form an independent faction, hire mercenaries, and then swear vassalage you can no longer control the mercs. Empire took Sarleon City from Sarleon, I took Sarleon City from Empire. Hired 1st Banneret to help my survivors beat back the new Empire armies sieging me. Left them as a garrison in Sarleon while I looked for Ulric to swear vassalage. Now I am stuck paying 12k wages for the 1st banneret to sit in Sarleon. Any time I go to the castle to talk to the leader, he just says "So this is goodbye then."
 
Another issue with the Mercs:

I sent my mercenary party to avendor while it was under seige (I owned Avendor at the time) While they were enroute, Avendor fell to the Fierdsvain. My mercs went into the city, and are now just sitting there. If I attack the town, I have to fight against them, I cannot enter the castle in disguise to tell them to go back to work, and I cannot sack them.  ( I'm starting to think Melentines are trade unionists)

I'm not sure what would be a good fix, but even the option to sack the mercanary party through my minister would help.

And Zanze, this is the issue that MV was adressing when he mentioned "- Can't order own mercs if stationed in a foreign castle/town" as on the to do list.

It's called an umlaut, not a "weird icon".

I'm not sure where do you people get these errors, the texture name has been fixed since 3.51. You probably have patched 3.5.

Just encountered an irritating bug. Count Ivanus was initially my vessel when he suddenly and quietly flipped back over to the kingdom of Ravernstern with 1200+ garrison in Windholm. He still had 70+ relationship with me though so it was easy for me to remedy this transgression.

I'm not entirely positive that's a bug.

You people? How absurd  :shock:, I didn't have this problem but I've seen plenty of people who have.

It should be, his cities just magically flipped over with no warning whatsoever and his garrison doubled. Not sure if those 2 are related but most like it isn't

Edit: Also Kuljhar the Ravager hasn't spawned for me for at least 800 days, while his friend Warlord Zulkar has spawned over 5 times. Is it a bug or has he been removed from 3.6?
 
Oh, and another bug I've encountered is that when some kings hire a mercenary company, the mercenaries dont always join the battles the king enters. Sometimes they just sit back and watch while their employer gets butchered a few meters away.

Don't think of it as a bug, think of it as an opportunity to weaken a current/potential enemy. :twisted:

They're mercenaries, pragmatists, why would they want to run into a battle and get their warband butchered?
 
I usually separate the kings and their mercenaries by using the forests as slowdowns for them, but haven't noticed the behaviour you are talking about. Only my own warbands REALLY don't like to fight anything bigger or equal themselves.

This is always when their king joins another battle, right? I.e. the king is not at the top of either party group in the battle when you mouse over it.

You people? How absurd  :shock:, I didn't have this problem but I've seen plenty of people who have.
Sorry for that phrase! It was unjustified.
 
Well...you can still access Leths stuff through the upgrade pool. Just tell another companion to upgrade someway then say tell everyone else to do the same. Leth will un-equip whatever then you can take it.


Oh,and I also have a suggestion...it isn't a big one,in fact doesn't change much if not anything really.

Could you make lutes and lyres available to your CKHO? I actually really wanted mine to have 'em but sadly they weren't available even though it doesn't require any sort of shield skill what so ever...

Again,it isn't much but it would be highly appreciated! :smile:



EDIT:OH,I almost forgot you don't gain RTR as a merc. Was that intentional? Because if it wasn't then the vassal thing might be messed along with that as originally mentioned.
