Has to be Lezalit for me. Just the superior second-in-command. Get him up some levels and you can replace an army extremely fast by his training.

That's indeed true. However after every battle (especially in the early battles of a new game) she's always laying face down due to a single slash/blow from a Sea Raider. She doesn't have many points in Strength (I believe 6) so you can't really equip her with good armour let alone equip her with good melee weapons to boost her offensive power.

Ah well, every downside has it's upside.
So what? You get the skill bonuses from her even when she's comatose, no?

No, you don't. Companions that are wounded don't give you any skill bonuses. Wound Treatment (which Ymira in my party is responsible for) won't work until Ymira recovered approximately 45% of her total health.

Meh. Just serves to show how insignificant they are, if I don't even notice I'm not getting them some of the time.

Just because you don't notice doesn't mean the benefits aren't substantial, it just means you aren't very attentive.

Bunduk, and I just don't understand why people don't vote for him. He is your old Sarge half drunk, with the big cigar, crossbow bolts hanging from bandoliers all over him and that custom made 7.62x54 AP arbalester with the countless scratches on the hilt. You just gotta love an old Sarge

I admit i voted for Firentis a few days back but gotta admit it kinda changed, Alayen and Bunduk somehow won my heart today...
Ehem, thats ofcourse after seeing those two stand side by side after both being knocked off their horses and then kill 6 charging Swadian knights, they still stood strong and then together took down 7-8 Swadian mixed infantry and still none of them had fallen. (Mind it Alayan is level 18 at the moment and Bunduk is level 19)

Anyway Bunduk i kinda got pretty happy about when i at last bothered listening to hes story properly.

Nobody for Katrin? two votes? come on people, doesn't Katrin remind you of your grandmothers? DON'T YOU LOVE YOUR GRANDMOTHERS?!?!?

No not really i dont.
Therefore she never will get my vote.

Ymira! Even tho her hair is always white instead of blonde because or some wierd bug, starting at level one has its perks!  I always turn my NPC's into archers, since I dont join a faction, and the only way to take a castle is to kill as many as I can with archers then retreat and keep doing it.  This way I can have 40 men and take any city.  Ymira starts at level 1 and easily can get up shooting a warbow by level 7-8.  Bunduk would have to be my 2nd.  As soon as you pick him up you can give him a siege crossbow...

Deshavi reminds me a lot of Nadifa from BoW. So, I like to equip her kind of like an Awali archer:

Nomad Robe
leather steppe cap (drop from steppe bandits, I like to hunt them for rare drops like these in a hardened version.)
light leather boots
longbow
2 bags of barbed arrows
glaive.

Nizar. He's all boast at first but its fun to watch his suicide charges start to get effective. Plus he keep Matheld happy.

i always put  Borcha, and Bunduk together, they get along, and none of them have a sook all the time when you accidentally do some ethnic cleansing.

Jeremus is too useful. 3 point in trade & useful healing skills.
Every time he levels up, i raise his intelligence, and for skills i raise his medical ones and engineriing. At level 10 he is better then artimenner (who i hate )

Borcha, the classic one. Although he's stupid, he haven't been broblem for me (haven't shot me or anything) But I liked more about that old Borcha's recruiting style, when he was rescued from prison.
Rolf is second of my favourites, because he's so good fighter.

Bunduck and Firentis, they make great officers on the field and rarely complain, but there was that time i attacked Suno (Bunducks home town) he got a bit annoyed. Lets just say that by the time the siege was over I had enough Swadian padded cloth to make a large Blanket

Lezalit by far. Handy skills, good fighter, doesn't complain.

After that Nizar & Mattheld, they make a very good pair.
