I've gotta say Artimenner, just because I never bother to put any points in engineering, and so he is very usefull once I start getting fiefs or start sieging places. (He's the engineer, right? I still have troubles remembering their names...)

I like Ymira, Marnid, and Bunduk best.  Artimenner and Firentis are also cool.  As you may have noticed, I prefer good people.

Ymira, she does my Surgery/Wound Treament/First Aid/Trainer so gotta love her. Though is kinda when she complains about hating to raid villages, but rides on in hacking them down. I voted for her =p.

Artimenner next, Engineering/Tactics/Trainer, always a good combination.

And last but not least, Borcha with Tracking/Path-Finding/Spotting/Trainer.

Marnid tags along for high Trade/trainer.

And Nizar, because he makes me laugh by bragging how good he his but always falls first in battles =p

I gave Baheshtur a full plate armor, a balanced sword of war, and a strong bow with 2 quivers of Khergit arrows. Watching him kill three enemies in three shots in a siege and then pull out his sword and just start killing enemies left and right is a thing of great beauty.

:eek: I'm gonna do that!

For his level, Alayen seems to be the most competent melee fighter I've had in the party. However, I dislike his attitude and prefer the company of Bunduk (Reminds me of my father) or Katrin.

Anyone who starts on lvl 1.  Every damn point a NPC wastes on a leader skill makes me a little sadder in teh pants.

lezalit, he thinks like me, I recruit troops according to my needs (vaegir archers for sieges, and so on...).
I like Rolf too, hes my huscarl captain (usually change his face for more of a Vikingy appearance).

Least favorite, Bunduk (cant loot and burn villages?**** you!!).

I like Bahestur, cool steppe warrior, good with bows, and no annoying morals, or made up noblehood pr woman conquerer of legend. Next are Borcha and Marnid becaus eof the history I have with them. Nizar is pretty cool if you give him the eastern sabre's and some throwing weapons and a horse naturally, I dislike all the woman, they are whiners, except for Matheld, her I like, she fights, and she doesn't whine like Katrin I hate Katrin. Bunduk kan whine aswell.

I got tired of the Morale issues, tough and edited my morale, so the hero's no longer take away 1 Morale per hero, and I made leadership give Morale bonusses, so I can actually have all compangions, Jeremus and Deshavi seem to wnt tço leave sometimes but Persuasion can fix that.

Does anyone else equip them the way there story/cultural background/build hints to? For instance Bahestur is my Khergit horse archer god, Nizar is an arabian styled desert warrior with rabati, mail, nomadic sabre, Jarid, warhorse. Borcha is liek Nizar even tough I could have turned him into a khergit horse archer, I dislike his face so I gave him a Rabati so I wouldn't have to look at it, Marnid is a standard knight on horse not strong not weak, Alayen claims to be good with a spear and he's right, if I equip him with a lance he get's more kills then anyone else, Rolf is a heavy knight in heraldic mail, winged helmet, two hander warhorse. so I lezalit and in the end alayen too, but with a lance. Bunduk is a crossbow footsoldier, Jeremus and Artimenner I just give a polaxe, plate mail and a bascinet turning them into rather effective Halberdiers, Matheld that's easy, nordic sword, hemet and shield, on foot. Klethi throwing knives, Rabati, steel shield, nomadic sword, on foot. Katrin, horse armour shield sword don't care, she can die for all I care. Deshavi, archer on foot

I sometimes equip them according to their historic, most times I turn them in to my personal guard with matching uniforms.

Ymira - she was kept in the shadows for so long, and now she finally gets her moment of glory.

Also, I can use her without having to pay :razz:

Only because you don't take the time to actually get her levels. She improves substantially over time, right now she's one of my best combat heroes. I gave her a mace and a shield and she runs around bopping things on the head.

Jeremus, what's the point of a trainer that can make a veteran of a recruit in five days if he goes and catches an arrow in the eye the next battle?

As well as,

Bunduk-> Trainer
Borcha-> Pathfinding, spotting, tracking
Firentis-> Hitting things
Marnid-> Are you kidding? He's Marnid dagnammit! http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,23861.0.html Need I say more?

What more do you need but faceless cannon fodder?

I give all my companions trainer, need plenty of crossbowmen for when I get a party size of 105 (which will be soon).

Just the thought of retarded Vaegir Knights charging towards 100 Sharpshooters gets my nipples hard.

I gotta say Borcha, putting him in the party makes everyone remember to wear their helms.

My, my, aren't we hypocrites? Ymira is leading the poll by far, yet only three people dared to admit that she is their favorite.  :wink:
Well, I am saying this loud and clear!  :grin:

And then come Firentis, Artimenner, Alayen, Bahestur, Lezalit.
If I feel really weird I can recruit also Klethi or Rolf. But not often and not for long.
Matheld is cool, but she isn't coming along with Ymira, so if I must choose between these two women...
Bunduk? If there isn't Lezalit around.
Nizar can suck his sabre for all I care.

Lezalit - Very Strict and does a great job of teaching the men discipline and turning them into hardened veterans.

Artimenner - Older and has experiance on the battlefield and a good head on his shoulders.

Matheld - Shes a badass Viking Warrior, Nuff' Said.
