POLL: Ranked matchmaking

How much do you feel ranked is needed?

  • 0 - No need at all

  • 1 - Not really bothered, but I don't mind.

  • 2 - It might be a good idea, but I don't care much.

  • 3 - It has a purpose, but definitely not a priority

  • 4 - It should be there, but very low down the list

  • 5 - It should be there, but there are many other more important issues.

  • 6 - It's an important feature, but not too high in the priority

  • 7 - High priority feature, but there are others that come first.

  • 8 - Very high priority. Should be among the first.

  • 9 - Highest priority. They should drop everything else if needed and deliver it with the next patch.

Just on a quick priority list thought:

1st Priority - Game-Breaking Bugs&Crashes SP/MP
2nd - Ranked or just sort out the match ups by Win rate which is a way quicker solution.
3rd - Fix/Work on the basic mechanics, combat & class balance of the game [BASICS]
4th - Keep 'updating' content specially for SP, and MP Gamemodes(Duel, single-life mode etc). Note on this: Dedicated Servers should be a thing soon, not by end of Early Access.
5th - In-depth balance & combat tweaks.
6th - Polish everything not finished or not working fully[Maps, quests etc] - Both for SP and MP.
7th - Bugs&Crashes that aren't that game-breaking but that need attention.
8th - Others.

[I don't see a single reason given the company size, to not have priorities 1 to 3 already massively being worked on at once. You could easily designate a few Combat focused employees or even a single Community Manager/Support to Gather the most impartial and rellevant feedback, get in touch with those players and gather some must-have changes to handle to developers within a few days to start getting worked on. While some other guy or two works on a system where we look for game based on Win rate. The rest of the team(which should be massive numbers) could still work on fixing game-breaking glitches] - You would advance massively and satisfy most areas rapidly if summed up to quick action with this, you summed transparency and quick communication.

I just want ranked man. I'll be happy for a few years even with a simple ranked.

Matchmaking is critical for the viability of modes like skirmish and duel. Bannerlord could have the most polished combat system with no flaws but if the matchmaking isn’t appropriately matching skill levels nothing else matters.
That said there are more pressing core needs. It will be addressed sooner or later.
