I'd like to see a system where you make custom banners in game.This would cut down on porn banners. The feature would have a bunch of generic symbols and designs and such. You would press a button or use a slider to edit the top, middle, and bottom of a banner. You can change the color of these stock symbols to anything you want. Plus there would be in game support for clans so everyone could have the same shield design. At least that's what I would like to see. It would also be awesome if this banner designing feature would pop up in single player so I could design a banner there when I become a noble.

I have seen that in some other game. You had "elements" and when you put them together how you wanted - that was your banner. Same can be done here I'm pretty sure, and it also would reduce the file size that you need to download from other players (their banners), since game would only send banner combination code (a bunch of numbers).



I don't want fully custom banners in Warband for a simple reason - let's face it, too many kids, and even some grownups have no taste when it comes to aesthetics. For my combat experience, it's important that I don't need to watch all kinds of ugly and distasteful banners that no doubt some would have.

Here's what I'd vote for:

- a fixed set of faction/lord banners,
- a fixed set of companion banners,
- a set of unlimited custom/player banners,

All mutually exclusive.
