Whats with the rank-fetish so many people have?

Adds progression to the game. You're sort of 'rewarded' for being a veteran player, and when you join a server people can see how badass and experienced you are by looking at your title.

I guess those who want this feature really want to show off. ^^

This is not what I meant, it was like a way to filter good players and let them to partecipate to in-game tournaments with a cool tournament system.

I'm sorry but, nope.

Probably obvious, but 1v1 quick siege. Each person has an army, which can be customized with unlocks as the general ranks up (general can be customized too). It would need a matchmaking system to keep things relatively fair.

Also the anti-cheat others have mentioned.

This reminds me of a huge discussion we had long time ago about this very point. I remember someone suggesting this already, and we talked about how this 'filtering' would work. How do you judge a good player from a bad player?

Do you want to perhaps use K/D? Well maybe the player is very skilled in melee combat, yet whenever he plays on a multiplayer server he gets, for example, always shot down by some archer and never manages to get in close combat, so his K/D is ruined, even though he's a very good player.

I have yet to see a reasonable suggestion about 'measuring skill', because such is impossible. There is no -accurate- way existing to measure one's skill, since countless factors are involved, which cannot be quantified. If you come up with a good idea to 'filter' accurately good players from bad players, I'll support you.

Obviously agree the number 1 is good anti cheat protection, though it's a difficult battle to win.

Next is a lot more polish on the UI all around. I dislike the WB font, I just feel like it takes up too much space and makes the menus of menus even more clunky to get through. In general it felt rough around the edges and I'd like to see more UI elements in general, better indicators of things happening in battle like flag states, and better stats on the tab screen and keep track of assists as well.

Separate kill spam and talking. Better chat log. Move the Poll text away from the action. Add more info to polls such as their kills, deaths, team kills/team damage stats so you can see how active the person is and how much team wounding they are doing.

Build in features that were modded in and are standard such as team kill auto kicks and duel teleporting and other things that helped servers be policed when admins weren't on. Whatever is going on with the competitive spectator UI is pretty hot and should be somehow included in the game when spectating if possible.

Preset gear loadouts would be nice. If we get the weapon customization in multiplayer it seems even more important to have this as well.

More maps and support to adjust bugs/issues with them as they are discovered. Basically just support. I know warband was fired off into space and bannerlord dev started, I hope that dev support and attention continues through release of bannerlord now instead of just the occasional hotfix.

Pretty sure it's going to be there but I hope there is a good banner editor to go with the updated facegen stuff. The for honor coat of arms editor was really nice to use and something similar would be great, even better if you can export it for clan members.

I hope there is better weapon balance. I didn't like using gold as a factor for weapon balance because in other settings those weapons were the clear OP choice, like the great sword which just has straight up better stats. This may be unavoidable though or maybe not well thought out, so I at least hope the 'top' stuff is still reasonable and each faction will have some equivalent yet asymmetric 'top weapon'

At the least I remember the effort to create a competitive mod that had weapon progression make a lot more sense in terms of cost vs stats you get on the weapon and hope that is looked at as an example or how to build the price vs weapon/armor progression.

It seems like it would be good to have a squad system in place where people in the same one are a different color in game to spot them on the crowded battlefield. I'm not sure how useful this might be honestly, but it seems like something that would fit the game theme. I don't know what if any bonuses would work with being in a squad and not break the game a bit, so maybe I'm talking myself out of it.

I remember very well that discussion, but unfortunately I don't know a very good way to filter well, but I want see a filter with this potential. Would be awesome if TW could do this type of filter.

I won't continue that discussion for sure, but I like reward system and I would see a good filter that can separate skilled player to  make awesome tournaments.

I hope to had explain well what i mean.

Yeah I understand perfectly what you mean. I don't mind a reward system, I'd actually like it as well since it adds more progression to the game and it's always a plus for me, however I'd like see a good idea about filtering good and bad players in order to join competitive matches, cause perhaps it wouldn't be so nice for a good player to be deemed as bad because the system is flawed.

Maybe it could be somewhat like Counter Strike. After a specific 'rank' anyone can join a competitive match, and the more matches you win, the more you raise in rank, or something like that.

CS'S system is good enough, could be interesting to see how it works on Bannerlord.

But I don't know if TW's developers are working on something like that, I hope they will tell us something about MP asap.

I think there will be a kind of ranking system since there will be matchmaking system..

I wonder how will matchmaking system work with mods, or will it even work.

This kind of applies to singleplayer as well, but I find it most evident in multiplayer. I would love to see horsemen's magical blocking removed.
First off their blocks do 270 degrees instead of only one directing like an infantry player. There are many times where you can stab a horse in the head with a spear and the shield, behind the horse's head, blocks it anyways. This also happens if a horseman jumps over you and you stab the horse in the stomach. It's blocked... from the other side of the horse...

Pretty sure they built a new engine from scratch so would be surprised if some of the odd quirks were continued like that.

But yes it's annoying.

It seems the first part is more of a mechanic than a quirk. But the second half should indeed be fixed with the new engine.

I would like the addition of ranks. Maybe you don't get anything but it shows how experienced a player is.

I think there should be titles and maybe customization options unlocked from completing deeds. Like if you get enough clutch kills or final kills in battle gamemode with the same weapon then You can name that weapon.

Or if you are defending a castle on a 100v100 server and you are guy who organises the rest of the defenders or you hold off a critical opening successfully and then many of the defenders like "commend" you after the battle you can unlock a title that is specific to that map, like "Defender of Jameyyed". Or vice versa "Conquerer or Jameyyed"

Players should be awarded for their accomplishments on official multiplayer servers
