There is already one topic about discussing features in SP, so this is MP version of that topic.

What kind of features, gamemodes, even mods/DLCs you want to see in MP Bannerlord?

Edit: I will update this post, and add "Multiplayer Feature List" here when TaleWorlds update their website and put feature list there.

Commend system which is like rank; players should be allowed to name other players' characters. There should be a multiplayer character menu(there can be more than one character) Each character has its own stats and so titles. There can be levels of character's properties based on other player's opinion(duelist, honorable, loyal, traitor, commander, friendly, veteran, traveller, thief, road blocker, miner, greedy etc.) This will make servers more controlable also great for roleplay; encouraging people to be nice. Imagine you are a lord in a game, based on what would u hire your guardian; his loyality, martial skills and his experience which you can see in players profile. Or if you want to form a gang, you would prefer a guy experienced on banditing.

Servers that afford many people. Servers or dlc like persistent world. Real time gameplay, 3-4 castles in a realm with villages bandits hunters houses with online players.

Pre-decided troops and formation battle maps; like Mtw2 campaing battles. Imagine a battle like agincourt, players trying to command and organize; allowing unordionary terrain and unit composition. There can be win conditions; like imagine an heavy infantry army trying to reach their home castle(their winning condition) but nomads and horse archers are harrassing and trying to break their flank. Imagine ambush scenarios, balanced strategical battles forcing players to be creative. Because  sometimes i find face to face battles boring only using mechanical skill; while it is fun diversity is always nice.

even mods

its a tech feature, but it would have a big impact on gameplay....

a clear separation of code/features/assets from SP and MP. That way modders working on MP won't need to look at 1million lines of code that only work on SP, modders working on SP won't waste time with MP code, and changes for any mode won't affect the other. If it is easier to learn the system you are changing, it is a good bet you will get good mods faster for players to enjoy.

for old timers that would mean a module system for SP, and another one for MP. The guys behind Carribean! released their game with two modules (one SP, one MP) IIRC.

one of the most annoying things about mix games (SP + MP) is when patch changes to balance something like MP classes also affects SP (or the other way around).

Some sort of progression system, unlockable titles and personalized equipment you can take to battle no matter the faction you fight for.

1. The most important is deal with auto-block hackers.
2. About balance: Less archers, more infantry combats please, not expecting a TPS game.
3. For those mods with their own databases, let ppl easier to access them.
For example, mod developers regisiter their mod to a particular website, then players just login from there, mount the mod then go. No more complex authorization proccess!

Yea we really need an anti-cheat. Especially with how much more popular Bannerlord will be. Cheats are a huge turn off in any competitive multiplayer game.

About the archers, I feel like people should be able to play as whatever they want. Class restrictions have no place in this sort of game. There are counter tactics to everything. Archers are easy to cheese if you equip yourself to go against them or work with your team against them. Also, Choose your battles.

Sure, archer spam is annoying but you don't have to play by their rules.

I really, really, REALLY hope they dont sell cosmetics and such for real money. It ruins my immersion so so so so bad

cheating isnt even a big deal lmao its advantageous effect in battle is very minimal

That isn't true at all, wallhack can give a huge tactical advantage and aimbot is a real pain to deal with. Only autoblock isn't effective in battle.

I just hope the replay system will work well and allow us to catch a lot of the idiots that abuse this stuff. If we had a proper account system it would make punishing cheaters easier too.

Autoblock is -very- effective in battle if you're on a 1 on 1, which happens quite often especially in sieges, that means the cheater will kill people one after another without problems, because essentially you won't be able to get through his defense since he'll block every attack automatically.

It's only flawed in group fights when the guy is surrounded by enemies.

Wannasee:

-  good free camera for the Spectators,
- ease when searching for players for making a vote (it's a mess in Warband, you have to click one by one till you find the name)
- Ability to "mark" a player at the scores, who would have a distinctive ingame for you to find him (like the nickname alwasy visible, an arrow towards where he is, a star above the head etc), if he's a teamie
- pms
- when joining a modded server, download the mod after an "accept" or "decline" message (this would require a way to make mods verified)
- stats (accuracy on hits/ swings performed / arrows shot etc)
- ease for picking items from the ground (perhaps a fast ui that shows everything at hand reach)
- custom or different skins for same armour
- ease for moving around, jumping on props, climbing etc

I was referring more to competitive 8v8. 1v1's (without shield) happen there but are generally rare and don't tend to decide rounds often.

In public autoblock is more of an issue you are correct since the coordination isn't there to shut down 2H users as easily.

A reward system of experience, winning battles, killing enemies, capturing flags, etc will give you experience points that improve your rank.
With a rank upper than a certain limit you will be able to partecipate to competitive matches, where you will earn competitive rank and you will be able to partecipate tournaments.

Something like that.
