And keep in mind, that the developers all helped contribute to this game, so don't just go idly slamming them because they took away your swearing. 

It's definitely not grateful to do, considering that these forums ARE about the game, not your own little chatbox.  If the developers don't want swearing, saying "duck you" isn't the way to go about getting it back.  It merely makes their point for them.

I really don't see any redeeming features in word filters that could possibly justify them. Yes, excessive swearing is immature, but so is trying to ban people from doing it. If you treat people like immature children, then they're going to start acting as immature children, so you won't help your cause at all. Furthermore, just what does it say about your attitude towards these people when your ban is so utterly ineffectual? So in the mind of whoever it was that put that filter in, we are not only immature but also completely stupid? Did they really expect us to not figure out how to bypass the filter in less than thirty seconds? Or if they expected that, then what's the point of having it at all? Is it some kind of hypocritical CYA thing? I honestly can't see any point in it regardless of which angle I'm looking at it from.

I suppose the fück yous were the reason this was ever implemented. I can't see any use in throwing them around here. In a thread where I asked people would discuss the whole thing politely and leave the random demonstration to Rathyr's thread.

I don't see any use in this. Kids see and hear swear words everywhere, and it doesn't require complex linguistic skills to offend people and be generally obnoxious without swearing. Wordfilters, however, do take away my full range of expression. Which is not very nice at all.

As I said earlier, I'm not sure I want a developer who screws up a simple parser to be working on my favorite game.

I get a little angry when people do things like this is all. It's worked for so long, why would they have the desire to change it besides seeing swearing making them feel a little funny? As much as an aspect of culture may disturb you, if there's no physically damaging aspect of it I see no point in changing it. We're a room of soaped-up homosexuals, not /b/: leave us alone and we won't rape you.

I am against the filter, but I think everybody needs to relax and chill as, after all these forums are hosted/payed for by the development team so in fact they can do whatever they want with it. We love(d) Taleworlds for being cool and listening to their fans from the beginning, I hope that doesn't have to come to an end.
