Do your graphics issues disappear if you use ATI drivers 10.3, 10.4 or 10.5?

Using 8.4 or something, really old driver. But its stable, and lacks any real bugs and regressions.
Tested 10.8 some time ago, but a lot of bugs was present, so I left it behind for the really old driver.
Reminds me: Issue was also omnipresent in about every single time i tested out warband in every single driver.
It is an old bug, it should have been fixed back in the beta.

wait the ****in patch.

Don't worry we are.
We would however calm down if we got some feedback.

The fix above didn't do anything, well it did something...now my game is crashing!
Waiting for a patch...

Since it seems the "fix" does not work for some people, I'm going to remove (fixed) from the title again.

So far (with over 10 hours of game play) it has worked without any issues on my system though. I don't have a saved lengthy campaign to test it with, so the tests have been done by continuous multi player and starting a new campaign and proceeding about 10 game days. Under those situations it has been working well.

I'll add that I do not use any mods or tweaks in Warband.

My test system specs:
Phenom II X4 925
8 GB Corsair XMS PC-3 10666
ATI HD 5770 1GB
Asus M4A77TD Pro
SB Audigy SE
Win 7 64 Pro

Reported for bump.

Side note - Mont & Blade player since the glory days, purchaser during the independent distro days, and big fan.

Never used Steam.

Warband disc prompts Steam install.

Installed Steam.

Steam updated the video drivers.

Which of course made my already-working-on-the-old-drivers Warband have these issues.

Short story - as with everything, auto-distribution and auto-update may seem like a good idea, but there is no substitute for research, recheck, and manual update for things you really, really enjoy. I blame myself.

@cmorgan

One has to select to update video drivers in Steam to let it start doing so though, there's no default auto-update that I've ever noticed or been presented with. If Steam had auto-updated my drivers without my consent I'd be pretty....irritated

Can we get dev confirmation on this bug being attempted to be fixes soon?
It was already confirmed earlier in this thread, and a temporary fix was given which is working for some people.

we have fixed the issue but we have to check the new version of the game with other video cards too. so, we are planning to release a new patch until friday.

thank you.

Update:

While taking a closer look ( ) this actually did fix the black skybox, texture problem...but not everything.
When you start a new game, and when the bandit in the city attacks you, the wall textures are invisible... i heaven't seen any similar problems in villages and while re-entering the city the textures were back.
I would still like to have this fixed officially because this still has some errors here and there...
Anyway...thanks for the help.

Yes, i know i am [insert bad word here].

EDIT: While i started Warband again the flickering was back...so my comment above is wrong.

Very very curious thing happened. I updated my ati drivers once more to latest (10.9) and it seems all the graphical and mouse cursor problems vanished. I was under the impression that updating to that version was actually the main cause for those. You guys should try it too perhaps?

Hey ppl, Friday is tomorrow. It would be stupid to make your computer/warband crash because you can't wait one day.
Play just like we said, press "L" so the menu is showing, go in scenes and all. You can do that until Friday, right?

If you have got steam, maybe steam already installed the patch that is otherwise supposed to be available on Friday. Another steam user mentioned too that he has no graphics issues today.

steam version of warband. Using 10.9. No texture issues. 4870x2 card.

Edit (@PsykoOps: Noticed that you said in a different thread that you don't have steam.)

No don't have steam. I got it from amd.com 'manually' and seems all graphics issues are gone. Even fps lag spikes dont appear anymore. *knocking on wood*

Hmm.  Well, I downloaded the newest catalyst, (not from Steam) but it's still acting up.  I have a giant patch of missing texture on my world map, so everything smudges there.  Minimizing never gets rid of this; reinstalling didn't do anything either.  I also have occasional missing heads and other textures, but alt-tabbing fixes those.

It is Friday evening (8:17 pm) and i still don't see any patch...
Yes, i know there are time zones...

Just saw it is uploaded...the forum news don't go good...
