I use ENBSeries in Warband for more contrast and lighting.

Could anyone please tell me what version of enbseries works with the last Warband v1.143 version? I have tried with most versions located here http://enbdev.com/download_en.htm but no one works. It doesn't seem  to be a concrete version to use with Mount & Blade.  I suppuse it is as easy as to download the correct version and put the files into the main directory of Warband, and when playing the game you shoud be able to toggle enb effects using the shift+F12 key. I have Windows 7 64bits and last foreware drivers, and of course I play Warband in directx9 + all details max (I don't know if may be a problem).

Props to the mod creator for the new flora textures and flora meshes but this is the most irresponsibly made mod ever(that I've tried),floris aside.

Let me elaborate; Some tree tops have wrong textures, some of em have the right textures but the textures are too bright and aren't shaded(so during the night it looks as if those trees are lit up by reflectors) and all of the new tree meshes are put into the mod without any regard to how the game engine will interpret them.

Mostly it works out ok and I don't mind the minor stuff like leaves where they shouldn't be(cause the game put em there instead of grass/bushes) but here comes the nasty part. Ever seen a breech tree with the bark of a pine tree for a tree top? Or, a snow covered pine tree sprout in the middle of a steppe. Fun doesn't end here, there are more and this isn't a problem when I merge this mod with any other mod, this happens even when only this mod is ran.

Technically the problems follow:

Tree_e texture is used for the pine trees AND for breech trees within the mod.
Trees texture is used for several tree meshes the wrong way as the whole thing ends up looking as if someone put a pine tree upside down on top of a tall tree trunk.
There's a mesh in one of the xtree_meshes files that uses a snowy pine sprout instead of a regular bush.
Collision for skeletons is a short trimmed bush like model, does the trick of stopping me or my horse but why?
One of the meshes for trees is sometimes misused during sieges so the starting area ends up with quite a few horizontal floating trees. It gives the answer to why they're floating horizontally tho.

I can't play M&B with native forests any more after experiencing this mod where the problems don't show cause it just evolves immersion of the whole game, so I searched around a bit.

So the solution:

openBrf, I can't link it yet.

Most of you should know about this software tho and really jumbo props to the guys developing it.

Fixing these problems is quite easy in fact. Just open the meshes file which is the problem and search the meshes till you find the troublemaker, either change the texture it's using OR if it doesn't work out well duplicate another mesh and rename it to the name of the bad one, delete the bad and enjoy.
The real magic of the software is that endless instances of it can be opened at once and that meshes can be imported and exported.
For the lit up textures just use PS and cover it with a sheet of black or very dark green with an opacity of 40%.

There, end of rant, hope I'm helpful with this one.(or am I the only one having these probs? steam installation of the game,1.143)

Lastly again, props to the creator for all the new meshes as the ones that aren't causing problems are just what the game needed.

DeadlyNerd,

You're definitely not the only one having these problems with PL and 1.143.

In fact, as pretty as this mod is, I uninstalled it after a day or two for the very reasons that you mention. I just didn't have the technical savvy to fix it. And even though I get the gist of your instructions, I'm still not sure I could implement them.

So, would you consider uploading your corrected files? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would greatly appreciate it!

I am having trouble trying to combine Polished Landscapes and Polished Buildings. Has anyone been able to do this?

Nice work on the mod btw

Can I simply overwrite the files from Native with this mod? I really don't feel like losing my save games.

sweet i just got this to work with prophesy of pendor!!! wonder if i could combine it with polished buildings and maybe enb series as well.  Solid 60 fps with ~350 soldiers on max.  not too shabby looking if i don't say so myself.

Got it to work . There's a problem with loading Uxkhal's streets though, at least when I used the thing for the mod so I didn't lose my savegames. I'm sure I copied everything correctly, and other town interiors seem fine so far.

Well I got a few graphical errors which are mentioned a page before, some trees are too bright, some snow plants on a steppe map and some trees just looking wierd.

Yes I installed it correctly, I tried it 5 times, downloaded it again etc..

I installed this sucessfully at least a hundred times before the upgrade to Warband 1.143 and now this, is there a way to fix this? someone posted a few tricks on the page before but I don't have the knowledge to do this on my own.

Anyone have an idea on why this is happening?

mb139.jpg

All particles seem to mess up, as do the PL trees when installing PL into my mod - no problems beforehand with the particles, and everything is correctly installed.

Diplomacy is intergrated, but I've tried using the http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,129716.msg3126844.html#msg3126844 (Diplomacy'fixed' version)
But that doesn't work either.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Other notes / edits for anyone with similar problems:

Not installing the particles.brf doesn't cause any errors or problems as it stands - rather, it fixes the problem of all the particles like blood spray and dust from horses appearing as white 'blocks'.

Particles2.brf for 1.143 warband has 92 meshes, 15 collisions
Particles2.brf provided in the 'diplomacy fixed PL' has 83 Meshes, 15 collisions.
1.126 -> Particles2.brf has 82 meshes, 15 collisions

Might that cause some problems?

Though, the particles not causing problems is just an assumption, so I won't know for sure if it works without it or not until I fix the main issues: glowing trees.

So, that just leaves the trees and bushes glowing white.

I'm getting some texture problem.

Sometimes tree are sideways or some bark texture are use as leaf or something upside down.

The landscape looks fine though

If this was indeed caused by PL then try to reinstall, following the instructions carefully.

So basically what I did was download this mod update, replace original files in older PL version and replace triggers.txt, scenes.txt, item_kinds1.txt with files from native folder, cause those files from PL mod didn't allow me to load saves. Could missing banner textures be related to them?

This happened to me several times, just re-install completely, it should work fine.

I get that invisa-shield bug too, but only if I use an imported save. Anyone know how to fix it yet?

ok, I found the reason. It's item_kinds1.txt I copied from native. So it seems it's either I start the game all over again or play with missing banner textures. There might be a way to edit it somehow, but I didn't find anything about it.
