To fix errors displayed in 1.126:
Just download this:
http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=2095
Place it in\Modules\Polished_Landscapes\Resource (and overwrite file).

Warning: compatible with 1.125 - if you have newer version of Warband download patch above.


How to install:
1 - install M&B to another folder - for example "M&B_Polished_Landscapes" This mod will change some files that are not moddable, so it's better to have another game installation.
3 - from PL_Warband archive unpack Polished_Landscapes folder into Modules folder (just like any other mod).
4 - IMPORTANT - place flora_kinds.txt and ground_specs.txt from PL_warband archive into \Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\Polished_Landscapes\Data folder.

To add this to any mod:
Install game to another folder!!
IMPORTANT - place flora_kinds.txt and ground_specs.txt from PL_warband archive into \Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\ Mod name \Data folder
Copy Brf files from \Modules\Polished_Landscapes\Resource to Modules\ Mod name \Resource
Copy textures  from \Modules\Polished_Landscapes\Textures to Modules\ Mod name \Textures
Copy *.sco  files from \Modules\Polished_Landscapes\SceneObj to \Modules\ Mod name \SceneObj

In module.ini add
load_mod_resource = env_materials
load_mod_resource = map_tree_meshes
load_mod_resource = particle_meshes
load_mod_resource = tree_meshes
load_mod_resource = xtree_meshes
load_mod_resource = grass_meshes
load_mod_resource = plant_meshes
load_mod_resource = xtree_meshes_b
load_mod_resource = xtree_meshes_c
load_mod_resource = grass_meshes_b
load_mod_resource = tree_e_meshes
load_mod_resource = terrain_borders

Basically it's old Polished Landscapes mod working with Warband.

CHANGES:
- working collision - expect some surprises when using cavalry in dense forests:wink: Most of shrubs/bushes have collision - basically all that look big enough to stop a man - will stop people.
- it's no longer late winter - there is no snow (except snowy maps of course), mod looks now like game Stalker - some kind of autumn.
- some optimisations
- few new trees
- no LODs - i have no time for this, please don't complain if you have low spec PC's
- new rain and snow (I hate one that's in game)

Thanks to Adorno for few screens he made with old version of PL he ported to Warband!
I will post some more later:

EDIT: The snowy areas are all covered by snow or simply have more snow than normal terrain?

Ooh, this looks amazing, I mean, the depth of the battles are now so much greater! This environment easily outranks Call of Duty 4 and 6's grasslands, and if not outrank, then at least the same level of quality. Really, I just cant explain it, the difference between Native and this is just amazingly great. Thanks for this.

about no lods. do you mean the tree switches to the default lods or there's no lods at all? that might be problematic. or do they just disappear over a certain distance? that might be a better solution

No they're just the regular model and they don't switch to low poly ones at a distance.

I think it's good to remove the snow from all areas exept the snowy ones,
cause I've never seen snow on the steppe or on the desert
so keep up the good work,

Rdit: Can you make it to look good in DirectX 7 ? The new engine slows down the game, and I have to run in DirectX 7, and I'm sure that many others use it. :evil:
